I know one of the great things about this board always was the fact that we don't have to make every conversation Tori-related, but these days we don't seem to be having much Tori conversation at all!
There's a whole whopping 5 or 6-disc collection coming out in a couple of weeks...
First, do you all know there are soundclips of the brand new songs doing the rounds. Second, do you LIKE them?
Personally, I think most of them sound really exciting. It's like dipping back into different eras of Tori's career and pulling something out we've never heard before. There's a harpsichord song from Boys for Pele, there's an electronica song from To Venus and Back, there's a Beekeeper offcut that (based on the clip) doesn't sound anything like that album, there's a song that was started in 1990 and finished in 2006...
I wasn't sure if I was interested in buying the entire set, but now I'm pretty convinced I'm going to shell out for it - not just for the new songs, but also because it looks like a bit of care and effort has gone into the arrangement of the whole package. The first disc is basically a remastered and augmented version of Little Earthquakes, and from the samples I've heard the new sequence will work really well.
Okay, fire away... I don't want to hear no crickets chirping!

Yeah I felt a bit like that at first, not sure if I felt like spending that much money. But since listening to a bunch of the clips I've gotten SO excited about it Also I love the look of the packaging, it's so cool. (besides, I'm now getting it for my birthday/xmas present so money didn't matter anymore... haha)Oh yeah: what version are you guys getting? I went with that Barnes & Noble extra DVD thing. It might end up being a load of crap but I'm a sucker when it comes to extra stuff.

I've looked the collection on online shop (and also on Tori sites that have had news about it) and been drooling. I *so* want it... But I don't know when buying it if I just can... I want also Neverwinter Nights 2 which is coming in the end of September and I'm just a poor student... I'd love to have Fade To Red video collection too... So, I'm in a phase thinking what to get.
The tracklisting looks promising and I just today listened to a version of Crucify from everthingtori... I really want it...

so, i already ordered mine from barnes & noble, because despite it having an extra dvd and being shipped overseas it is STILL cheaper than getting a copy at a local store. it's ridiculous how expensive it is. they won't even put it on display because they think 'it's too expensive and nobody's gonna buy it anyway'. asses.

^ Asses is right. I don't think anywhere local is selling it here either. I didn't even try to find out, just preordered online. Bunch of hopeless tossers, man. Meanwhile, I hope your copy arrives soonishly... I'm still waiting for mine. get the feeling Barnes & Noble aren't the greatest, but in this case being the cheapest, they were the best option.

I eventually decided to go for the DVD version, once I heard a bit more about it. I ordered it last Wednesday so with any luck it might get to me before this weekend. If it turns out to be region 1 disc instead of a 'no-region' disc, I'll then have to hunt for a DVD player to watch it on!
I think it only cost me around $10 more than the preorder price from JB HiFi, and a *lot* less than the price other Australian stores are quoting.
I just hope it gets through the post in good condition. There are some not very positive stories about the packaging falling apart quickly. The piano lid won't close, or the pages of the book are coming out. I'll be cranky if mine is like that.

Eeek.. now I'm gonna be obsessing over it.
