I am going to freeze my ass off at the bus stop. It is 2 degrees outside and the windchill is -20. All the other schools are called off, besides ours..I think the school board is smoking crack! (AWWW SNAPS!)

It's FREEZING here in Michigan!! This morning it was -1 F, with wind chill -20 F. They are talking about being in the twenties by the weekend. Can't wait!!  |

*brrrrrrrrrrrrrrr* i am soooo soooooo sooooooooooooo cold right now! it's about 7 degrees (-13 wind chill) in Western NY, my heat bill is WAY TOO HIGH to keep the whole apartment heated at the same time, so i'm huddled by the computer with 8 layers and three blankets on! ;D but hey, if you grow up in Buffalo, you get used to it!

Yeah, it's been about 4°F - 15°F here with some nasty wind gusts. We're on the coast, so the temperatures are a little more mild, but the wind is wicked. The warmest it has been here for the past few days is probably 20°F.  *Daturafae starts handing out tea and hot cocoa to her frozen friends* Stay warm!! |

Actually the cold snap in USA got mentioned on the radio here this morning, but I think it was with a touch of envy. Still forecasting 37C (98 or 99F) on Sunday. We don't want it, you can have it.

naw, it's not that bad if you're used to it, our summers are very hot though, we have a weather range of 80 degrees, very cold to VERY hot...it's nice sometimes..

It just so happens that that is where the two temperature scales meet. -40F and -40C are the same, so no translation required.
I've never experienced anything anywhere NEAR that cold.
