My CD player is psychic!

Don't know why, but I just HAD to share this stupid bit of trivia with you all.

My portable CD player has a random play function. I use it very rarely because most albums don't work so well when you start shuffling things around. Anyway, I thought Scarlet's Walk would survive this treatment OK.

The player promptly began by playing Wampum Prayer, immediately followed by A Sorta Fairytale - just like in concert

Being a maths head I've worked out there was only a 1 in 306 chance of this happening (assuming my CD player genuinely is random in its selections). I'm thinking that either

a) my CD player has been reading the set lists over my shoulder when I go to The Dent; or
b) my CD player has been going to concerts without me; or
c) my CD player should buy a lottery ticket as soon as possible.

Alternative answers also welcome!

Go let it buy a lottery ticket, if it wins, take the money for yourself and throw it in the garbage, you can buy a new one and non psychic cd player then!!!

-the fact that you mathematically figured out the chance ratio of it doing so!

yeah, charlene....that's why I was speechless!

Actually, though, it's not that difficult to figure out the chances of that happening....you simply multiply 17 x 18. But I think orfeo has a good point....it is pretty random to get them exactly in that order.
