During an interview with Rosie O'Donnell in 1999, she told her that she was having a "really good" bottle of Corton Charlemegne (not completely sure about the spelling) with her friends when she came up with the name for "To Venus And Back." Rosie asked her if it was white or red, and she said white so that might insinuate a preferrence or something.
I think she also mentioned this during an interview with Jay Leno that same year. Other than that, I don't really know...

At one songs I donwloaded ( it was a concert in Frankfurt/Main), she said she has been to the Rheingau here in Germany "checking out some really good wine", so I think she also prefers white wine like Riesling.
How much is the wine mentioned above?

My family went to this restaurant once that served a $1200 bottle of wine. Can wine be that good? I mean this stuff better be from the fountain of youth or something. I even read somwhere that many wines with the highest flavor ratings where in the 20 to 40 dollar range.

i personally think wine is bitter. although, we had a bottle that was bitter, yet sweet. i wish i knew what it was, because it was awsome!
but yes, we've spent almost $100 dollars on wine this month (don't know how???), and that was 2 bottles!!! wine can be very expensive, but i won't spend more than $100 on one bottle of it.
usually, if a wine is $1200, it means it's been around almost longer then you and me. the longer wine sits, the better it gets, the more money you will fork over ;D plus, if it was made in like italy or france, or somewhere that makes extremely good wine, you're going to pay more.

I just wish I was the type of person that could ask for that bottle when I stroll through a restaurant ;D. Have you seen those places that don't even offer a price because "If you have to worry about the price, you don't need to be there".

yes, i have! i hate those restraunts! not only are the prices ridiculous ($50 for a 1" square of beef on lettuce, made to look 'pretty'), but people tend to stare and point and make comments that i would love to smack them for.

I went to this place in Las Vegas and payed $30.00 for a Caesars salad and a Coke. The only reason we even went in there was because one of the guys wanted to eat there just for bragging rights (It was inside the MGM). I mean, a salad is a salad, no matter who serves it. I could have made that at home, plus it would have been better since I put bacon bits on mine, haha.

well, the whole reason for this thread is because with any luck, i will meet tori again (for alot of reasons: my friend can't go-must get her tori sig!! lol, i would like to get my m&g pics signed so i can donate them to 'a sorta fundraiser', and just a pic of her and me together. i know alot right?), but anyways, i will hopefully meet her again, and i would like to give her a bottle of wine. i gave her a painting the last time i saw her, but i thought 'a bottle of wine would be nice', so that is my goal now, lol. so, monika, if you want to send a bottle of wine for me to give to her (and if you want to write a letter for her, too), i will give her both.
