my son is so funny. for his birthday he got 2 firemen (like ken dolls, only not), and with them came all the firemen stuff, like an axe, helmets, walkietalkies, fire exstinguisher, etc. so, he comes up to me the other day and says 'mommy, do you know what this says?' (as he's pointing his tiny fire exstinguisher). so i'm like 'nope, what does it say?'. his reply 'don't go walking into fires or your head will burn'. i couldn't help but giggle. it's very amusing the things my children say, but at least he knows not to walk into fires.

How cute!!! ;D I love it.....kids say the darndest things! The other day Connor (same age as your little guy!) said completely out of the blue...."Hey Mom did you ever notice how Harry Potter didn't have to go potty for that WHOLE (Harry Potter 2) movie?.....That was a looong time!" LOL His blue eyes got reeeally big on the words 'whole' and 'long'.....sometimes it's not just what they say but the whole delivery, ya know!? raisingrrl, i bet we could write a book about silly things they say!

lol, that is so funny! kids are really cute with their facial expressions while they're saying stuff.
we could write a book!
you should see my son prance around the house singing 'i'm a knife, i'm a knife!'. and when you tell him that it's 'knight', he says 'right mommy, knife, i'm a knife, i'm a knife'. hehehehe i think the funniest thing my daughter says is 'serious bars' for cereal bars, lol

LOL, serious bars! Ya, one time I told Connor that we were going to have a playdate w/a friend & he started jumping up & down saying "I'm so DECIDED!" ....of course he meant 'excited'! Speaking of faces, he can do the the best "Home Alone" face....he does it on a whim at the grocery store to some of the people walking by! LOL Either that or he uses his pretend web-shooter from his wrists like Spiderman....I'm sure people think I'm just a freak of a Mom!

Hehe, that's so adorable! I have no children of my own (yet), but my best friend's son (2 years old) says some really cute stuff. Yesterday we were at her place and the sun was shining brightly through one of her windows, so she didn't put many lights on in her apartment. Her son, standing near the window, starts pointing in front of him and saying what sounded like "tas". My friend thought that he was trying to say "doors" because it was also in the direction of the door. He shook his head "no" and continued to point. We finally realized that he was pointing to the little specks of dust that were floating in the air and catching the sunlight (creating the appearrance of bright little points of light). My friend didn't recognize what he was saying because it was a word that he usually used outside... He was calling them "stars"! I thought it was the cutest thing in the world. Ok, maybe I'm just a sap... Lol!

your kids all sound adorable i don't have any but i do have lots of them in the family. my cousin alex who last year was in preschool told his mom one day that he wasn't going to school the next day because he would have to wear make-up and didn't want to. my aunt couldn't figure out what he meant by that (were they face painting?) and then finally he told her "mom, mrs. steel said that tommorow was a makeup day!" they usually didn't have school on fridays but were making up for a snow day! so cute!

Gah... ALL TOO CUTE. This isn't quite talking.. but my 14 month old second cousin does the cutest thing when someone says 'no' to her. She always shakes her head then, to show she knows you said no... and then smiles... waits a second.. and continues doing whatever she was doing. I love that.... it's so cute... (except when it's the week before Christmas and I'm babysitting and she's attempting to open presents... yeesh)

Oh I know, I absolutely cannot wait until I have children of my own some day. I mean I CAN wait but I know it's going to be the cutest thing in the world simply because their minds are so hard at work at that young age, it's amazing. Haullie

My 18-month old nephew's word for music is "e-i-e-i-o", presumably becuase Old Macdonald has a farm is the first song on a tape of kid's songs that was made for him.
He marches right into our house, straight to the cassette player, points and says EIEIO!
