What does everyone think of Tori's new single coming out called 'Taxi Ride'? I think it's a pretty nice start for a second single. Do you think they will release this one in the US? I certainly hope so. I was unable to buy 'A Sorta Fairytale' on-line but I do have the ASF promotional single. I have a copy and am sending it to my friend Audrey cause she doesn't have it yet. Spreading the Tori love. If I come across any copies of anything I might either sell it on ebay for the rainn fundraiser ot maybe just send it to someone who doesn't have it I don't know. I'm hoping to get my hands on at least one copy of this 'Taxi Ride' that would be so nice. I don't believe it will have any bee-sides on it I think is the gist of what I've recieved from The Dent but maybe she will have two versions I do not know yet.

Oh Frances! I love the ASF video! It's awesome, Tori is a leg..Oh, it's on my avatar by the way! If you have DSL I reccomend going to launch.yahoo.com and search for Tori Amos. They have all of her videos there! I cannot wait to see the video for Taxi Ride! ;D |

I think that 'Taxi Ride' would do very well as a single, and I truly hope that Epic pushes the radio to play the song. I'm so glad she switched record labels, because Atlantic really was doing squat promotion for her. I'm so happy that "a sorta fairytale" has been gaining strong airplay, but I would love to hear "taxi ride" as well, and I hope that the popularity of "fairytale" does not hinder her second single from getting up there, which often happens with many artist's singles.
According to the dent, a promotional single for this song has already been released to radio stations. It contains a radio edit that is only a few seconds shorter than the original, so I don't exactly know what will be different about it. Perhaps they will give it a fading ending, like they did with the radio edit of "fairytale."
As far as it beign released commercially, I am not sure what to think about that. As we are all aware, there are still three b-sides that have not yet been release ("mountain," "seaside," and "indian summer") so there has to be some sort of outlet for those - which could very well be a single.
And as for a video, I'm pretty sure we'll have one pretty soon. I don't know how she's going to have the time to do it though - with touring and everything.

GoshI sort of wish they wouldn't have come out with the complete videos until after Tori's 7th album because then we could have gotten the whole package and now you can fit more on a DVD and that would have been so neat. You know what they need? They need to come out with a DVD that features all of Tori's Videos plus a few of her live shows, some appearences for RAINN and a featurette of her biography of some sort and VH1's Behind The Music episode. Now that would be complete to me hehe.
