That's funny though, i never imagined Japanese people to be either hospitable or fun. Their lifestyle can be quite scary some times. how do you cope?

Wow, that's like one of the most obvious things we learnt in Japanese class at school - how incredibly generous and hospitable the people are! (we had an exchange student stay with us once, she was the sweetest girl - bought over heaps of presents too! haha)

There is much I need to teach you. For now, I leave you with Exhibit A, a photo taken two weeks ago of my favourite Japanese elementary school prinicipal EVER. He had been building tables all day to put into the English Room. The school's first ever English Room. Not many ko-cho senseis would be caught dead wearing a pink towel, but there he was out there in the Spring sun being as accommodating as ever. Bless him. Say hello to Yamaguchi sensei
