Blood Roses ~ Tori Amos I haven't listened to Tori in quite some time, but I was lying in bed last night unble to sleep, when suddenly I felt this overwhelming need to hear Boys For Pele. That's weird. A couple nights ago I couldn't sleep - I listened to BFP 3x while I lay in bed and then repeated Blood Roses a few more times, realizing I just felt like I needed it. I know, not very good 'try to fall asleep music'. LOL Anyway, that song just hits the spot when you want to hear it like that. I'm Going Down With You -- Quarter-Pounder |

I still remember a time a few months ago when I was hanging out laundry in a lovely Summer breeze, and playing Pele at the same time. When I go outside it's difficult to hear the music, but since no-one was home, I turned the volume up a bit. As the sheets I hung out tickled my nose in the breeze, I could hear Marianne. I was very aware of the moment, and I think I wanted to cry. I probably did, actually.

You're right about it hitting the spot. It's not the usual "feel good" kind of spot, but then.....that's why we have old Tori to fall back on! |
