I just thought of this the other day: I've been hanging out here now for, what, 3 years (holy moly!) and although I haven't actually met any of the people here so far, it doesn't mean that I wouldn't think of you in my everyday life!
So here's a thread for those eerie moments when someone/something from the Torum passed our thoughts in our so-called real life in situations where we weren't originally thinking about them!
I'll start!
Nattie, you are in my thoughts now almost every time I'm teaching at the community college, because I have at least 4 women there whose name is Natalya, but they wish to be called Natasha ;D So whenever I use that name, I go "Heee, Nattie!"
Aimee (and Paulo), whenever I hear or see someone using very lively, made-up (curse) words I think aw, that person is as cool as you two are!
Sabrina, when I bike past the pet store on my way home I see parrots in the window, and wonder whether you would like them. They're green, that's all I know.
That's it for now! More to follow later.

Man... I always hear or see random things that make me think of so many different people here. Hehe Jenni. Often when I think of cackling, I think of you - when you said that in some childrens books you used to read, there'd always be an old woman cackling in the forest! Something like that, anyway - it just cracks me up so much. Whenever I see random Charmed merchandise, like a calendar or that duraseal stuff you use to cover school books, I think of Paulo I think of Josh whenever I hear Babylon by David Grey - last time I heard it was in this boring old lady clothes shop Mum made me go into with her one day.... teeheee And then there's that girl I used to see walking on my way to work, whose hair reminded me of Carline. I used to think of Matt when I'd see Becks beer, but lately I've been buying it regularly so that doesn't happen as often (or it'd just be stalkery-thinking! lol). Ok theres a lot of others but those were the first to come to mind right now. I'll post more later maybe.

~Once I had a dream that I ordered a pizza over the internet with Jason but it was going to cost me hundreds of dollars, it was stressful. ~Everytime I hear the song SIREN I think of Jenni because of the sig that I made her... ~Whenever I think of IHOP pancakes, I think of Haullie because we went there together when I visited her. ~I think of beaches whenever I think of Helen ~Whenever I hear about Tool/APC/Maynard I think of Aimee

This is a really cute thread, Jenni! ;D Well, I talk about all of you so much to friends and family, but personally here are my thoughts: Jenni, I think of you sometimes when I'm out at a restaurant and we order dessert. I keep wondering what you'd order, and wish you were there to help me finish whatever I ordered! Aims, anything David Bowie I see/hear makes me think of you. Just the other day I was outside Sanity, and guess what I saw reduced even further?! Merry Christmas, Mr Lawrence for $4.99!!! I giggled to myself, hehe. I also know that if I had nachos again I'd think of you and your famous guacamole dip! If I'm crying, and I feel guilty or stupid for doing so, I always think of what nattie once said: sometimes tears are the only light in the dark. I feel better almost instantly matze, of course when I'm doing my shopping and I pick up some tomatoes, I think of you, hehe You are also the spitting image of my first boyfriend, so whenever I see a photo of you, he pops into my head. As I'm seeing more photos of you lately, I'm getting to know your features more, and how they are different from ex-b/f. This is a very good thing! Paulo, you also remind me of Henry, a guy I used to work with in Japan. He was slightly crazy, but I don't think he could compare with you now! He left early to test for the FBI!! Lately, Kate Bush has been taking over all the Kill Bill associations. Especially the song Joanni. Ooh, I better go...meeting paps for lunch, but I'll be back!!

(though to be fair that was well over a year ago...but whatever) Y'know, I still haven't even watched that movie. Geez. But the movie will always remind me of you too! ;D

well, i've actually SEEN mary. twice actually. once, she was just outside starbuck's, and the other time she was in fact a fellow student in "adolescent fiction" back when i still studied literature. ;D and i've seen helen, too. well, someone who looks A LOT like her. but to answer the actual question: i think of jenni every time i try to play a tori song on the piano. first of all 'cause she sent me the copies and second of all 'cause she'd do a much much better job than me. i think of helen whenever australia comes to my mind. especially when i receive postcards from my friend julia (who's down under at the moment). i ask mysel whether helen has been to all these places as well. i think of mary and sean every time i see a couple with kids passing by. to me those four southern californians are just the perfect family! i think of aimee when i drink beck's. which is almost every day, so i think of her a lot. i think of mary, carly, miranda, jason and trevor whenever i pass through that disctrict of berlin called WEDDING. ;D there's a lot more. later.

i think of mary every time i hear someone say "hey now!". that happens a lot.
monika... well, i'm reminded of her every day because i'm gorgeous and she agrees with me. ;D
aimee pops up whenever i listen to Nine Inch Nails or when i look up my photograph wall and see the Sheep Droppings pack she sent me (lol, that sounds funny)
Jason, Sabsy and Helen come to mind when i listen to Aerial among other things. each of them has a particular song - and yours is Joanni too, Helsie!
i think of Trevor whenever i hear Gil speak in Finding Nemo (which i just finished watching again 30 minutes ago)
i remember Natasha and Carly for some reason when i see the chic with blue hair and weird sunglasses in Welcome To Sunny Florida.
Jenni whenever i listen to my wonderful Acda En De Munikk cd.
Ben when i see Ben Margera on Jackass
Josh when i remember he doesn't like Kate Bush!!!

no way you don't know them!!! they're a pretty cool dutch duo, i love them. and i just think of you because they sing this very guitar-voice-cowbell like music, almost folkish, and for some reason i think you'd like that.
and Aimee, of course i have that, do you think i'd EVER get rid of Sheep Droppings? never!!!

Along with a million other little things that remind me of you all at random times...
I thought of Josh during the NFL playoffs & the Superbowl. CONGRATS!! I know you were disappointed last year.
Today I thought of Sabsy when I saw an ad for Days of Our Lives. Lol.
I am reminded of Pat when I listen to Coldplay.
I think of Carline when I see bunnies that look like hers.
I think of Mary when I buy Veggie Booty or when I listen to Damien Rice.
A few weeks ago I had a dream that Sam came over to visit, and were making plans to see NIN with Ben, Aims, and random cousin of mine. I'm sure it would have been fun.

There is no way I can get to everyone, but here are the ones that come to mind mostly because they happen often enough. Although, I must say I love it when something makes me think of a toriforum member we haven't seen in a long time or who doesn't come here often. Anyway...
Paulo - when I pretty up my toenails/feet,
Aims - listening to or seeing Tool anything
Danielle - seeing laptop computers
Matt - seeing/eating/ tomatoes and/or tomatoes and basil together, especially
Jason - when the leaves change color, silver-colored ink pens
Lauren - when I drink tea or even walk past the tea shops, the food network
Rina - when I pass any Vet hospital or clinic or grooming place, and also when we have the rare thunderstorms
angie - when I wear my hair curly because I'm envious and wish my hair looked like hers
Jenni - when I write lately, when Connor shows me his sparkly coloring-drawings, and ANY/ALL black licorice associations
Helen - seeing any kind of tree with flower-blossoms in bloom, passing or going to any Greek restaurant
Jana - seeing 7-11 stores, slurpies, head-cheese (sorry! lol)
Mallory - eating cashews ("kidney-nuts"), listening to Nick Cave, eyeliner
Ben - when I pass bike shops or see crazy-ass kids on bikes
Monika - the song Northern Lad
Samantha - cloth diapers (lol), Godsmack, jade trees, and the name April
Jenn - Altoids, rollerskating on the beach (seeing other people do it, lol)
Nattie - potato chips (which make me think of ketchup chips) and listening to Elliot Smith
Dennis - listening to Over The Rhine
Mandy - the color blue, anything faeries, graveyards
Kier - libraries, anything baby girl pink, Miss Mary Mack
Josh - listening to Beth Hart
Uh... I think for Carly Miranda and Trevor there are way too many things I could list because our real lives are so really a part of each others' now, but... here are some of the more random things:
Carly - hair dye!, mustard, Cat Power, Patty Griffin, song notes, squirrels, horoscopes, Angelina Jolie, track & field stuff, Sylvia Plath, scarves/hats/mittens, soy lattes, purple...
Miranda - seeing cute noses, Marilyn Monroe, flip-flops, shamrocks, bananas, ziploc bags and tupperware, the word 'snarky', Johnny Depp, blue jeans - when I see like a rack of 13 of them all at once, lol...
Trevor - seeing any kind of hourglass/sand-timer, Jars Of Clay, pianos, postcards, rice, chess, getting my car washed, when balloons pop, reading certain psalms, when I see any kind of weaved tapestry or blanket where there are colors blended together - especially any blue and orange, anytime I come across the word 'Australia'...

Mary--I think I totally misspelled his name in the card. What a d'oh moment! Hope he wasn't too insulted Peeps I've been thinking about lately: While listening to Kate Bush, the trio Paulo, Jay and Helen comes to mind. And ditto on q-tips and Paulo. Ahhh, pleasure. Fairies in any shape and form--Lau.
