no, this isn't a birthday thread, i can't start one myself, so someone had better go through the trouble of making me one NOW. meanwhile, i watched Over The Hedge tonight and i swear to god the last time i laughed so hard was when Sharon Stone took her clothes off in Basic Instinct 2 and showed silicone boobies that were the size of her head. definetely one of the coolest animated films of the last few years, i loved it!

oh well, apparently people liked the celinish one better, they were posting more... but worry not, i'm sure the next one will be a celine thread again. anyhow, a couple of random things: - the old lady from the second floor (i live on the fourth) called me and asked me to come by for breakfast someday. which is strange because i've never really talked to her other than "good morning" or "good evening" or "can i help you?" (not really), so is this strange or is this strange? i'm gonna go, though, can't resist an invitation for breakfast. - only 36 more sleeps till madonna. - my best friend got home yesterday after two weeks with the army. what a difference two weeks can make, he looks all muscular and all now. i wish i would have gone when i had the chance. then again, i don't think i would have been happy getting up at 4 in the morning... that's all. have a great weekend everyone. *kisses*

(you were just dying to get rid of the Celine-ish one though weren't you) lmao, you got that right. meanwhile, i went to a movie festival yesterday that reminded me so much of you. it was called the Sick & Twisted Festival (yea, in english) and they showed the grossest animation films possible. you should look for Spike'n'Mike (they're the producers of all the films) and try watching some stuff online. there's one called Beyond Grandpa that's just THE most hilariously disgusting thing in the world, you would've loved it.

meanwhile, i just watched a very cool German film last night called The Lost Honor of Katharina Blum. i'd read the book (thrice) and was dying to see if it translated well onto the screen and let me tell you, it works very effectively in every single aspect of the word. surprisingly it's still a very, very modern film despite having been shot over 30 years ago. of course, being it's 1975, bell bottoms are the rage, but other than that, it could've very well been released yesterday. gather some more culture, people, and watch this. read up on the Baader-Meinhof years too, it helps.
