i just saw "deutschland. ein sommermärchen." [germany. a summer fairy tale.], a documentary about the world cup in germany and the german team especially. it brought back so many wonderful memories. AND i got to see all the soccer players half-naked. ;D it's a shame, however, that MY favourite was the only one to never take off his shirt.

hot darn, i love animated films. this week Hoodwinked opened here and next week i'm gonna go watch Open Season. though i'm pretty sure neither one's gonna take the place as the #$1 animated film of this year's season, which, imo belongs to Over the Hedge. funniest one i've seen since Madagascar.

I saw Marie Antoinette last Friday...it was lovely. Very sympathetic to Marie Antoinette. It was so good, it made me curious so I read the biography it was based on by Antonia Fraser. I recommend them both! Sofia Coppola did a wonderful job.

I like the movie, i thought the music choices were a bit odd and i feel like a lot of the music was there to make up for the fact that there was not much dialog. i did like it though.

I recently saw Marie Antoinette and The Science of Sleep, they both were great. Sofia Coppola and Michael Gondry are both amazing directors.

I saw Stranger Than Fiction last week and really enjoyed it. It was funny, but not slapstick funny...so it was quite a nice departure for Will Ferrell.

I heard Stranger Than Fiction was good. I'll probably rent it when it comes out on DVD.
I just saw Million Dollar Baby for the first time. I LOVED it. I always enjoy it when a different kind of love is portrayed, other than romantic love. Not that romantic love isn't beautiful, but it's so overdone these days, and it's certainly not the only kind of love, or even the most powerful, I think.
On another note- this isn't a movie, but Alex and I have recently gotten into renting episodes of 24. We don't get cable, so have never gotten to watch it. It's SO suspenseful and great. It's nice because now we don't have to rack our brains trying to find something to rent we both enjoy.
