fuck, i wish i had gotten stuck with the crowds. i got stuck in a - ready for it? - subway traffic jam. i had never seen something like that in my life. i was coming back from the film festival, which is 3 stations in the direction of downtown from me (which means i was going four stations south, and the Live Earth concert is another 6 stations south from there) and somehow it took me 30 minutes to get to where i needed to be. THIRTY MINUTES.
We stopped at a station and there was a train stopped in the tunnel ahead of us and another behind us. 15 minutes stuck. i was very grateful i wasn't in one of the trains stuck in the tunnel, given that i'm insanely claustrophobic. was at the station, doors were open, i thought "well, it could be worse".
then the train started moving and i thought "oh finally, hell's over". right? wrong. it stopped. in. the. tunnel. i was sweating so much and breathing so hard i think people in the surface could hear the sound of my every breath. another 10 minutes stuck in the darkness. i confabulated many a horrifyingly painful, slow-eating way to maim and kill Al Gore before getting out of there. my GOD i hate free concerts on the beach.

i'm watching the Silverstone F1 GP. this is the best sport ever. Mom was watching that too. -__- I rather watch athletics or skiing, motor sports aren't for me. And car games are usually boring too, except Burnout because that's for crazy speeding and crashing into others. xD |

i just didn't break down cuz i had my phone on me so i looked for a really calm song to soothe me. i kept thinking some other train would come and ram into the rear end (god that sounds dirty) of the one i was in. i hate Al Gore!!! but i do love this Suzanne Vega lady.  |

Aww, that's bad!!! >.< *hug* I know  thanks for caring... I have a pretty strong case though. its kind of complicated so heres the short version of the story. I use a GPS to track and map waypoints for a mapping project I'm doing. I've hired them from my uni on various occaisions. Now their telling me ones missing and I'm the only one that hasnt signed off for bringing a GPS back. the reason was; that when I returned it, the woman in charge of equipment [Helen] was away and the teacher I returned it to didnt know where the book was for me to sign off. but I know I handed it in I KNOW I DID. and now heres the trump card of my innocence... I have waypoints and tracking data on my map that my teacher gave me from the day I used this GPS. that means he had to have handled it after I handed it in and more importantly after I handled it, because he's the only one with the software to download data from a GPS to a computer, and after he did this I'd done all my fieldwok and had no use for it... so why would I still have it? TECHNICALLY I STILL HAVE ONE SIGNED OUT AND THEY'RE STILL SHORT OF ONE SO THEIR PINNING IT ON ME. I just hope my mapping teacher knows where it is... because if he doesnt I'm broke. sorry for the convoluted story. even if I do have to pay for it its not the end of the world. just means I'll be a bit tight with cash for a while. |
