I actually got there at 12:00 last night to line up for ratm last night, and got 4th in line, and by the end there was a good 100 people behind me. It sold out in LITERALLY 20 seconds and I just missed out, the second guy in line was the last to get tickets and I was fourth. totally shattered, I'd give up every concert I ever went to to see them. Its only just setting in, how bad this is for me. all the same... spilt milk. I still like to winge. oh yeah, and one minute after they where sold out they where going on ebay for $400 (4 times the retail price) and when we checked back they had rocketed to $1500. I'm seriously in shock, I didnt know they where that big. I'll try and get big day out tickets, because their confirmed to be there. As soon as they announced it was sold out, so many people started screaming "fuck" at the top of their lungs, and there was some serious abuse happening to the people first in line since they took way to long to get their tickets. when I say "way too long" I mean 20 seconds, but still I could have got tickets if they'd sped up.

oh yeah... on the bright side LOLLLLLLLLLLLLL (sarcasm, there isnt one) I'll never be more dissapointed in myself than today, I cant possibly fuck up any worse than missing out on rage against the machine. thats what I want most, I tried, I failed. now every time I screw something up I can say "well thats nothing, it could be worse. I could have missed out on seeing rage agaisnt the machine"

Aahhhh fuck. That sucks man.
But it's hardly your fault you missed out. You were 4th in line! And also if you'd been at home waiting online the ticketbastard website would've been jammed up. And the phone lines would've been engaged. So what else can you do? it just sucks.
and I FUCKING HATE the bastards that buy tickets JUST to sell on ebay. agghh..
Good luck with a BDO ticket - I know they sell out really fast over there. Do they do that thing for the Melbourne one where you have to enter a draw to even have the opportunity to buy a ticket? I know they do it in Brisbane and Sydney.. a friend of mine was gutted she missed out this year in Brissie. I'm sure the Auckland BDO will sell out this time too (last year it was because of Tool, this time I know everyone wants to see Rage as well) but at least here it's not such a stressfest.

yeah, I want at least 3 big day out tickets, wanna get a good ratm fill. probably get sydney, melbourne and adelaide tickets (if I can). I'll line up a good 20 hours beforehand this time. I hate the stupid huge crowds of BDO though; and the ratm pit will be complete death. I'm still a total salt machine about missing out this time. on the day I said fuck about 8 billion times.

Hey if you're really worried about missing out, you can always come to Auckland - ours never sells out straight away. A lot of people seem to wait until more announcements have been made to decide if they want to go or not. Though I'm thinking they'll go a lot faster than usual this year so I'm going to buy mine when they go on sale (I think the 12th?). I know flights are a bugger, but you can have free accommodation, we have the room.
I just wish they'd do an extra gig here as well. They won't - nobody really big ever does - but bleh. Every single year I always get my hopes up.

hell yeah, thanks aims! thats a pretty good idea. ours never sells out straight away. A lot of people seem to wait until more announcements have been made to decide if they want to go or not. by the sounds of things your crowds might not be as crazy as Australian crowds, so getting dry humped by fewer sweaty mosh-rats is always a bonus too. all hope is not lost... seeing New Zealand will be awesome as well. Yeah, that sounds good. and thanks so much for offering a place to stay, thats great! so by the sounds of things its, sydney, melbourne, auckland and maybe adelaide. my bank account is going to hate me.

lol shit man your bank account IS going to hate you. That's ok, mine hates me right now too. It's all Tori's fault.
BDO is always the Friday of my first week back at work after the christmas break - I shouldn't have a prob getting Friday off, but once you've thought about when you might get over let me know and I can probably shuffle a couple other days around so you're not sitting around by yourself.
Oh trust me, our crowds get pretty fucked up. I'll be too scared to go anywhere near the moshpit.. One year my sister and friend were at the front of the barrier for the second section (so not even the area right up by the stage where you'd expect this shit to happen), and when Shihad came out the crowd just went all spazzo and they got squished up against the barrier. This was like a third of the way back along the field. If they go that apeshit for Shihad I'd hate to think what'll happen for Rage lol. especially since they're headlining so they'll be on last which gives all the munters even more drinking time.
Oh well. hahaha.... I just hope there's lots more good bands during the day this time, so it's not all sitting around waiting.

pretty sure theres more boring music out there, maybe some experimental music. one artists I saw was one guy hitting a symbol for 10 minutes, then folewed by another guy screaming at him... its apparently music. bells for her is one of my favs. love that song to death, sorry. haha

It took me a little while, but I have accepted the fact that my taste and Paulo's taste (when it comes to Tori songs) are polar opposites.

hey Carly, that is not true. last i remember, there is this one song that both you and i love to pieces - ironically right now i can't remember for the fuck of me which one it is - so we're not that opposite. i do admit to disking Bells for Hell and Merman more than any other Tori song... no, i take that back. Gold Dust is the worst in my opinion.
but hey, i really started liking Carbon recently for some reason, guess that adds up to something, right? (and to be honest, i haven't heard Merman in such a long time that, who knows, i might like it now and am unaware of it. maybe i should give it another try.)
not all is lost, my friend. not all is lost.
