Was wondering if anyone has read any of Augusten Burroughs books have just ordered his new book, the Wolf at the Table. It can also be ordered with an audio book which comes with some songs from Sea Wolf, Ingrid Michaelson, Tegan and Sara and Patti Smith which were written in response to the book. I like all of them and I also really enjoyed Dry and Running with Scissors but not sure what I think about the 'collaboration' although it is an interesting idea. Has anyone seen the film Running with Scissors too?

^I've read Running With Scissors, but none of his other books. I found it a bit disturbing, but I was also having severe insomnia and nightmares at the time, so it didn't help matters. It was an interesting read, though. I usually enjoy memoirs.
I haven't seen the movie or even heard much about it.

here's something to make the lot of youse a tad jealous... i saw Rufus Wainwright in person yesterday. he's performing in Rio tomorrow and has apparently been in the city for a while, cuz he was strolling down the gay street of Ipanema when i saw him. he's pretty tall but incredibly girlish. i'd hit it anyway.

here's something to make the lot of youse a tad jealous... i saw Rufus Wainwright in person yesterday. he's performing in Rio tomorrow and has apparently been in the city for a while, cuz he was strolling down the gay street of Ipanema when i saw him. he's pretty tall but incredibly girlish. i'd hit it anyway. ha ha! Have you heard his music? He has a gorgeous voice. |
