Alanis Morissette - Simple Togetheri can totally see why she'd include this in her greatest hits album despite its never being a single. it's a great song and should be heard. wow i haven't listened to that in such a long time. have i mention it's my absolute favorite song of hers? |

listening to this album because I have a really bad headache, and it's a good headache cure (though usually works best combined with strong painkillers and a lavender compress - strangely I feel better right now with only the music, so that's good)

have any of you guys listened to this yet? this song is so To Venus and Back it isn't even funny. it would've fit perfectly on that record (and that is a GREAT thing). reminds me a lot of Dätura. gosh, i hope the entire rest of the album is like this, sonically. loving the drum machine and the lyrics. fabulous song!

Nah, haven't listened to that new Tori song.. have been really slack this time around actually. I just can't be bothered. So unless the entire thing leaks I probably won't give it much thought until it's released. I'm glad to see such a glowing review of one of the songs though, because I started watching the vid of Welcome To England on lastfm the other day and was like bleh..

Aims, you should so look this up on youtube at least. it's like, Tori Amos goes full on Portishead. she even sounds slightly like Beth Gibbons in some parts. it's truly her best album opener and her best song, period, since 1999. actually it might be superior to pretty much everything in Venus too. i'm thinking it's been over a decade since she's made a song this good. you'd have to go all the way back to Choirgirl to find songs so impressive. i'm in love.
