I still need to get Bjork's greatest hits! Pat, look.. this greatest hits... i don't know, but i'm a little dissapointed with it... there is not "violently happy", "it's oh so quiet", "alarm call" and "Cocoon", my favorite singles... i thought it was complete... but those four great songs are not in there... anyway, "it's in our hands" is a very good song, and it's a very good excuse for buying the album |

I'm new to the forum (and a bit shy!) but I love these kinds of topics!
I bought:
1. Daybreaker (Beth Orton)
2. Best of 1990-2000 (U2)
3. Mary Star Of The Sea (Zwan)
4. Colors (Hikaru Utada)
5. Before I Fall (Twill)
I love Daybreaker -there is a line from the song 'Anywhere' which I'm totally in love with -'Chinese whispered memories'
My fave song from the U2 cd would have to 'If God Will Send His Angels'
The Zwan cd is still growing on me...
Hikaru Utada is a Japanese pop artist. Her latest album 'Deep River' is great! My fave songs from that album are 'Sakura Drops', 'Hikari' and 'Final Distance'. 'Colors' is her lastest single, but it's too much like the rest of the similar sounding J-Pop. Nice though.
Twill are also Japanese, but the song is in English. Very sweet.
(Can you tell I live in Japan yet?!)

And guess what? my fave song on there lately is "anywhere" (all are good, but that particular one is really good right now)....and just tonight i was going around the house singing this: 'Cause I wanna live where the fear is all gone I wanna protect, and I know what it's from I wasn't made for secrets like these Chinese whispers and memories THAT IS MY FAVORITE PART OF THE WHOLE ENTIRE ALBUM!! i kid you not.......i love it, just like you! Wow!!! But here's another thing.....(I hear bluegirl telling me to "simmadown" right about now! lmao..) I've been listening to the U2 cd a lot too.....and I keep hitting repeat on IF GOD WILL SEND HIS ANGELS b/c i LOOOOOOVE that song so much!! The music, the beat, the lyrics, the meaning, just the whole darn song is soooo good to me......it gets into my bones! My favorite part of the song is this: So where is the hope and where is the faith? And the love...what's that you say to me? Does love...light up your Christmas Tree? The next minute your blowing a fuse And the cartoon network turns into the news... WOW!!!! Yay! I'm so happy I could make another person happy! That was such a wicked post honeybeegoddess! I love how music has this crazy effect on us all. I adore that part in 'Angels' too -it really gets you singing out on the street (even when you've got your headphones on!) The video clip is fantastic. Got the DVD last month and the commentaries are awesome. I've actually been living in Tokyo for the last three years (I'm actually from Australia), and every time I do karaoke, I sing a bunch of U2 songs! Unfortuntately they don't have that song, or Beth or Tori but karaoke is just such a blast -I'm totally addicted! Oh yeah -and I watched 'Duets' the other night -a great laugh about karaoke and stuff. You guys should see it if you haven't already. Anyway! Ya, my uncle has his very own Karaoke machine complete with huge screen & triple microphones in his house.....we love to sing Karaoke! LOL they do have some tori, but only God & Crucify.
