woo hoo, I'm glad you voted . I myself don't know Ani's music too well, I would like to get to know her better, because from what I hear, she's a great artist!

yes, she's very raw and simple, but makes great music and gives you something to think about.

Out of those mentioned, it's definitely Björk, although I also like Sarah, Lisa Loeb, Alanis...
My all-time fave, though, is ENYA!!!!!

Fiona, easy!
Actually there are one or two I'm not overly familiar with. Poe in particular is someone I haven't really heard although I'm interested. Similar with Lisa Loeb.
Saw some of Bjork unplugged once and was very put off.
Have sampled bits of Ani, Sarah Mc and Natalie Merchant without being overly excited.
Tracy Chapman is good at times - planning on getting a copy of the Best Of - but it's Fiona who I think has the most to offer, especially as she's still got so much room to grow.
If you'd had Alanis I would have thought harder, but Fiona would still win.

I myself don't like Lisa Loeb, she is whiny and ugh, irritating. I do like the song Stay at some times though.

I like Stay too... and I LOVE 'Do You Sleep?'!!!
I don't know very much of her, actually... just another one of those artists that you hear now and again and like, but never really get around to investigating...

Bjork kicks butt. But I would put Fiona in a close second.

I like Bjork and McLaghlan a lot, but I dont have every song or anything.
Fiona Apple and Lisa Loeb have several good songs.

Fiona Apple, hands down. She's so raw and honest.

i wish madonna was on the poll. she's not as good as tori but i'd pick her over any of the other artists. or shirley manson. i like her, too.
