Listening to the album "Echolalia" once again, simply cannot believe how good this band can be. Especially the lyrics. Somehow they can capture all the frustrations and angst of intelligent people living in the modern world.
If you get the chance you simply MUST listen to songs like "Three Dimensions" and "Monsters". Please!

orfeo, SFK was mentioned here before & I did go to their site & download some songs that I listen to....one of them being Monsters (very good, i agree). I keep saying that I'm going to get that cd one of these days, b/c I really like all the song clips that I've heard. Three Dimensions is another good one. And I love, love, love the song You Only Hide. (.. and I wander through the lost city of you....)  I think my favorite lyrics from that album (I've read thru ALL their songs from previous albums, too) are the lyrics to "White"....and I really like "Stunt Show", too. Ok, enuf rambling from me....Somebody else go discover them! lol |

It baffles me why I haven't ever really heard much from these guys... I blame the radio stations.
Will fire up grokster and have a listen when I get home tonight.

I just downloaded "Happy Endings" and I like that too!
Ok, that does it....i will have to find this album.
Btw, Paul (lead vocal) has a familiar voice....I can't put my finger on it, but he reminds me a bit of someone else....

Ooh yes, "Happy Endings" is another favourite.
While you go hunt for THAT album, I think I'm going to have to find their earlier ones starting with Beautiful Sharks.

YAY! I downloaded the two you recommended (Three Dimensions and Monsters) and I need more. *fires up grokster again* Once again I'm wondering why I hadn't heard anything from these guys before (heard OF them yes, just not their music). Oh well, not to worry cause I have now |

Everyone's completely forgotten about this thread now, but ........
I heard "Three Dimensions" on Neighbours this afternoon.. In the "coffee shop". With Toadie.. and that old dude. The one that I hate. Hmmm.
I almost pissed myself laughing!
(well, not quite.. but being bored enough to watch Neighbours means you're only one snap away from an insane case of the giggles)

lol, I haven't forgotten about it! I'm hearing "You Only Hide" right now....such a great little melancholy song, I love that guitar... Beautiful Sharks (album) seems to have some really good songs, too. ;D bee ...and your eyes become corridors where i wander with a candle, calling out to you.... |
