I'll probably regret posting this...but whateva.  A friend of mine sent me a copy of the new Christina Aguilera CD: Stripped. I was extremely skeptical and was pretty sure I would hate it, but I promised my friend that I'd give it a chance and actually listen to it. Guess what! It's actually good. Of course, it's not Tori or anything, but I am honestly enjoying it immensely. I've listened to the whole thing about 5 times. I'm glad I gave it a chance, because I have a tendency to completely write off most top 40 pop/r&b artists. Anyhow...just sharing. |

I have actually never heard a song of her that I like. besides her new "video" is horrible. it's just porn, mum. no I don't like her music, nor her style, nor her.
but it is okay if you like her. why should you regret posting this?

I just imagined that no one would have anything positive to say about her. Most people don't post things here that they assume everyone will disagree with. Probably because either everyone will bash it, or no one will even bother responding. As for Christina's image...I don't care for that. But...it's what sells, so I understand why she's doing it. I don't think how she portrays herself for the public has anything to do with how she is in real life...or maybe it does...maybe she's just like that off screen, the point is, I don't care. I do agree the new video is bordering on porn....I honestly don't care for it, but I can like the music without liking her videos. Anyhow...thanks for responding. |

Well, I haven't heard Stripped... plus I can't really seem to recall other Christina Aguilera songs than Lady Marmalade (which of course, isn't a Christina Aguilera song, but you know what I mean) - which I really like!
I like her voice, she really is a talented singer, I just wish she'd stop making mindless pop... Well, like I said, I haven't heard any of the new stuff, so maybe that's exactly what she's done...
LGA, if it makes you feel any better, I can also enjoy listening to old Mariah Carey albums or even (although very rarely so) the Spice Girls... the music is just the music...

Oisín - thanks for your comments. I would say more regarding this topic...but somehow I don't feel it's worth my time. I like Christina and there's no real point in trying to justify it. |

I listen to every kind of music you can imagine, from agro rock, punk, pop, rock, hip hop, R&B, jungle,house, instrumental, classic everything you can imagine, so why should you feel bad about liking Christina Aguilera it doesn't mean your less of a Tori fan at all. Anyways I have heard some tracks of Stripped and well I think she has a great voice and all but I can't say I really paid much attention when I was hearing her so I can't really remember any new song  . |

![]() www.imahosting.com/sigs/flower.gif [/img] granted her cover of the rolling stone was a little much...she at the age where dressing in that manner gets her attention..after time u get over that crap and walk out ur house feeling totally comfortable in sweats and a hairband. It a persons acceptance with themselves that portrays a good image.
regardless i think she has a wonderful voice...but she nothing but a mass market production of what is "cool" but i have a feeling is she did what she wanted artistically she wouldnt get her far...in the meantime ill listen to her songs but i dont pay 2 much to her as an individual...sorry this sounds harsh...but she has talent but i dont care 2 much for the way she is marketted

ok i do not like any of her videos at all i think that they are stupid and just to get attention which she does but its childish.... but she has a beautiful voice and such range, so i guess to sum it up if i dont have to look at her i like her music.............. so i guess i could never see her live LOL and i would never ever want to anyway
