ok, so ijust posted to the portishaed thread, and now i'm all excited about trip hop. portishead, hooverphonic, soulstice, lamb, olive, massive attack, so many more...
lovage is one of my favorite trip hop bands. the group is a dream collection of musicians, including dan the automator, kid koala, mike patton, and jennifer charles. think sexy, smokey lounge music, add a dash of hennesey, and you've got lovage. the album is called 'music to make love to your old lady by'. seeing lovage was seriously one of the best concert-going experiences i've ever had. the stage was set up with a full bar and swank couches. all of the guys in the band were wearing smoking jackets and silk pj pants, and jennifer charles was wearing a sexy little dress. the whole show was so posh and classy. if they ever tour again, don't miss them.

I've been meaning to explore more trip-hop music. I first heard of the genre on MSN music of all places. I want my music to go in this direction, or at least trip-pop. All I need is a groovy drum programmer, I think.
