Woo! I thought about you during We're Going To Be Friends, In The Cold Cold Night, and Little Ghost. Well, I think I thought of you a lot during the concert...but especially during those songs. Little Ghost was AMAZING live. I'm so glad they played Hello Operator (I was tempted to start stripping) and I got my Denial Twist! FYI: Jolene kicked major ass. I actually hadn't heard their cover of it (but I was aware of it)...but I think the original is a great song so I was hoping they would play it. Other highlights: Black Math was a great opener. Blue Orchid sounded great live. The Nurse was great, too, and Meg's random drumbeats shook my whole body. lol... I loved Red Rain and was really hoping they would play it--I think it's a rather underrated Get Behind Me Satan song. Let's see, what else? Every time Jack walked over to the piano I was crossing my fingers that I would get to hear Truth Doesn't Make A Noise.
And Meg is ridiculously cute.
I know I was on the fence about going to the show...and I'm SO fucking glad I ended up going. And I know I was bitching about my balcony seat but my seat was really really good. I was about 5 rows back, in the center, in somewhat of an alcove with two people to the left of me in our very own row. Very cool.
PS: I'm jealous of your Girl, You Have No Faith In Medicine!

I am so glad you went! If I had a million dollars, I would just follow them around and see them play everywhere.

I thought about you a lot too, mostly "Oh my God! I hope they play this song for Carly!" Red Rain is absolutely wonderful live. And I love when Meg does her songs - especially during Passive Manipulation when she hits the triangle. For some reason, that cracks me up.

Oh yes, I've already heard about that, but do you know why he actually doesn't like it? I think it sounds like a typical White Stripes song which has nothing extraordinary to it which could make him hate it... I think in some way it sounds a bit like "offend in every way" and he doesn't hate that one either... so is it the music, the lyrics... I'm very curious to know...
