okay, who's that woman singing 'Be My Husband' and why the heck is that on a Diamen Rice website? 'The Professor' is rather annoying, i don't think i like it much. I loved 'Weatherman' and in particular, 'Volcano'. i really did like that song. made me feel like listening to Jennifer Knapp. The woman singing "Be My Husband" is Lisa Hannigan. She's Damien's partner in crime. You know the female vocals on "The Professor" and "Volcano?" That's Lisa. Admittedly, "The Professor" is not one of my favorites. (Mary, please don't hit me!) |

dammit, i love 'Volcano'. too bad i only got the radio edit of it. his music reminds me a little of David Gray... actually, his voice reminds me of David Gray.

Kier, here's the thread again. LOL I keep waiting for news that he's finished his sophomore album, but no such word so far. Lots of reading here. Carly's review and mine are both within this thread, and there are links to other Damien sites with songs and info, too. Enjoy. |

OK, after having listened to 3 songs (The Professor, Be My Husband, Volcano), I can say the songs are well-built, I like the melodies, he's a good singer. Still, it's not really the artist I'd buy a CD of.
The duet with Tori will surely be someting great. Damien has much emotion in his voice.
