Guys, i'm in  love with this band.... when i was reading about this one, i had a great surprise...!! I think the girl has a great voice but I was put off by the whole rap/rock vibe in the backup guy's voice.

I like the cd too i was just saying it sucked that they were not good live ops! now i saw the "though", sorry... I've never them live, just the video clips. The clips are goods at least, i guess. (ot: my english vocabulary is needing to improve hehehe)  from brazilian ewf |

I have never really heard them - but what I've heard of people saying about them has been really positive. Unfortunately what I heard from them was a bit of live act and man it sucked. The singing was so thin and off... Also the mixing was really bad. It's kinda like Avril Lavigne - I thought the hit song (as you can see, I don't even remember the name...) was nice and poppy, and when I heard her sing live it was the suckiest thing ever. Her voice wasn't clear, she sang really badly off key and didn't even play the guitar like in the video. Grah. I have seen a bunch of her performances and they all were really embarrassing. A kingdom for an artist who can make it without any mixer-table help! (Thank god for Tori and her talent...) Anyways, I'm still kinda interested in hearing Evanescence stuff - I'll just stay out of their shows  |

I finally broke down and bought this fabulous (if somewhat same-y sounding) album. "Everybody's Fool" and "My Last Breath" are my personal favorites, but I agree w/ Jana, they do suck live.  |

I like them, but yeah, I saw them performing live on tv and it was kinda sucky.

I LOVE Evanescence. I saw them live twice, Amy lee goes off-key all the time, and her voice does sound thin. But I heard a live guitar-vocal song and she sounds pretty good (off key sometimes, too). I think the record sounds SO perfect that it's virtually impossible to recreate it live. The only person who sounds better than any of the records is TORI!!!!!!!!!! I have not found any other artist who's capable of that.

Within Temptation better than Evanescence... Evanescence is famous just because of that they are from USA... But there are much more talented groups in europe... Like Within Temptation, Lacuna Coil, After Forever....
