I dunno about you guys, but for me, this year has been excellent for new album releases. So what were your top new releases of this year SO FAR? (obviously the new Tori cd will be high on all our lists, but it's not out till next month.. so to you! muahahahah!) Here's my lil list thus far.. (in order for once!) 1. Thirteenth Step - A Perfect Circle 2. Strays - Jane's Addiction 3. Hail To The Thief - Radiohead 4. Deftones - Deftones 5. Reality - David Bowie 6. Mit Gas - Tomahawk And that's it coz I've probably forgotten something anyway.

I will definitely say I was happy about these two: 1. Hail To The Thief - Radiohead 2. Thirteenth Step - APC I can't think of any others. I always get lost on the year things come out! heh!

Um..I think the only album I bought this year that actually came out this year was Evanescence's "Fallen". Which is actually really good despite all the hype, so maybe I'll put a vote in for that.

Definitely "Hail to the Thief" - boy, winning that was a highlight.
I haven't actually bought it yet, but based on a music-shop listen I am majorly thrilled with Something for Kate's new album, "The Official Fiction".

They have a NEW album?? Aahhhh... I wasn't even able to find Echolalia (sp?) with any sort of ease. Yay for Bee who is burning it for me, though.
Anyway, I'm bummed out about them right now.. not coming to the Auckland Big Day Out... hmmph. I was looking forward to seeing them.

I added a TON of albums to my collection this year....Of the 2003 released stuff my favorites, which I consider to be excellent as a whole, without a single 'blah, I'm not too crazy about that' song on it are:
1. Hail to the Thief, Radiohead 2. O, Damien Rice 3. Some Devil, Dave Matthews (I've had it less than a week and can already safely say this) 4. Seal IV, Seal

The Bangles- Doll Revolution 6. Ben Folds- Sunny 16 EP ...there's probably more- I'm a music junkie, so I'm most likely blanking on something big...

I almost included Beth's Daybreaker on my list, too....but it was released here in 2002! She's so good....Hels, she's got out another one now this year called "The Other Side of Daybreak" which has a very pretty acoustic-sounding cover of "Ooh Child" on it, along with some pretty interesting remixes from the Daybreaker album....including the "Two Lone Swordmen" version of ANYWHERE!!! (it's good, but not great...way fast...LOL, everytime I even type the word 'remix' now I think "orfeo's version of Hell"! bahaha! ) And then there's the latest 'Pass In Time' album, a double-cd 'collection' album, that's got a lot of her good songs but, in my opinion, not all her best. I say just buy all her separate albums! Anyway, I love Beth!

Whoops! LOL ok, I'll have to edit that later...
I actually saw both of those albums the other day and I was thinking about getting 'The Other Side Of Daybreak' -I reckon the name ROCKS for a remixes album.
