The new Incubus album, A Crow Left Of The Murder, came out yesterday and my hubby is bringing home a copy today!  (< me) Ok, I know there are other Incubus fans here.... Anyone else lovin' "Megalomaniac" and getting into the new album yet? I'll post more later after I've had a few full spins. Sean says this album sounds like it's got a harder/rougher edge, just based on the 2 songs he's heard...I agree (sounds less like Morningview; more like their earlier stuff). I'm DYING to hear the rest of the songs in full, though. Ooh cool! Thanks for all the info on the video and such  As usual my computer is a rotten bastard, so I'm not even going to try to view it online... but I'm more than sure that I'll see it on tv soon enough. I haven't gotten the album yet but plan to this weekend. And..... they are coming here March 30th. I really wanna go but must find out how much the tickets are first, coz if they're too expensive I probably won't be able to..  Keep all fingers and toes crossed for me, mmmkay? |

Fingers and toes crossed! (<ok, well, after I finish thumbs-upping! lol) And will you cross F&Ts for me?... Because Sean went to THREE stores yesterday and the darn cd was SOLD OUT at all of them! INSANITY!  I'm going to start making phone calls here soon to find a darn cd somewhere in town... The album is getting quite mixed reviews so it's killing me to not be able to hear it all yet! |

YAAAAAAY! Glad he managed to find it in the end!! (I CAN cross my fingers and toes, though..  ) I'm getting mine today Ooooh - and I found out how much tickets are for the concert.... $80 So I was all and stuff.. Then I told my sister this morning and she said in about a month she'll be able to afford her ticket, so we're just gonna wait till then and get our tickets early march-ish - so HOPEFULLY it won't sell out!! (probably won't - the only thing that's sold out here in recent times was Ben Harper.. he put on an extra show because of it... damn he's an awesome guy.. still, I didn't get to go! *cries*) Lol ok I'll quit my whingeing and get ready to go shopping! |

LOL, you freak!  Ok, so this thread has so far become the Mary and Aims Enjoy Incubus thread! lol... I'm listening to Agoraphobia now.... definitely a favorite. When Brandon's voice gets all high (out of nowhere) like that it gives me chills!.. Right, so what I wanted to mention is TICKETS!!!!! I'm signed up for the Pre-Sale reduced price tickets for when Incubus comes here to the U.S. (in April) Any other US fans can go to their site www.enjoyincubus.com and do the same thing IF YOU HAVE THE CD. You need to put the cd in your drive and have a quicktime or shockplayer (download free, if not) and you will get a special ticketmaster password that enables you to get (Only ONE) pair of tix at the pre-sale price (and I have no idea what that's gonna be yet, as the dates haven't even been announced!) Um, can you tell we're a little excited to see Incubus?! |

PS- I keep wondering where Chuck is. lol... he's missing on this album. PPS- what about the crow? Now I wanna know what's the deal with the crow outside the murder of them! sheesh, they're gonna make me go browse the incubus site now.... like I have time to read some other forum.  |

LOL you silly bean  Thats really cool that you guys will be able to get cheaper pre-sale tickets! Wish that was a worldwide thing... hehehe. Ah well, I don't care - my sister is keen as to go so I'm sure it'll all work itself out. I think this is all thanks to her seeing them a couple of years ago at a Creed concert. It was supposed to be Sevendust, Incubus and Creed (as the headliners) and I was so torn coz I was dying to see Sevendust and Incubus (who everyone was raving over since their previous concert here) but I just couldn't bring myself to pay the money to see the two bands I liked, because I knew that some of that money would go towards Creed, who I HATE (like.. seriously hate... YUCK!!). So that sucked. But then Sevendust had to cancel for some sucky reason, so that also sucked. But it demonstrated to my sister what a hottie Brandon Boyd is so therefore she can't wait to see them next month, lol. </end ramblefest > |

So far, it's not grabbing me in the 'wow' way that Morningview did when it came out and topped (I think) even the fabulous Make Yourself.... but I'm definitely enjoying it. I'm hopelessly addicted to Here In My Room, lol. |

But remember, when the band first started he was like not even out of puberty yet! He's still young. I think he's just grown into his adult body is all. Morningview still rocks my world the hardest. One person in the back of us, mentioned he looked sick (maybe he was)? Good concert tho! Yay! Glad you had a good time When I saw them in March I was kinda disappointed.. I mostly blame the sound guy - ok so the venue doesn't have the greatest accoustics, but I've seen other bands there and the sound quality was PERFECT.... Eg: first time I saw Tool there, the sound was clear and amazing, then the second time I saw them there, it was pretty crap... all because their usual sound guy wasn't there for some reason. So this tells me that it all depends on the talent of the sound guy. So that's going to be my reason for why I didn't really enjoy the Incubus concert. I think also they were having an off night, but there were still some really great highlights (like the long looong drum solo with Brandon and another guy joining in every now and then on drums also - and Pardon Me was one of the encore songs and it just went off, probably their best song of the night). Oh, and the stupid little whores that kept screaming every time Brandon walked towards their end of the stage kinda ruined it big time also. The best part is probably that the tshirt I bought there has turned out to be one of the most comfy tshirts I own... hehehehehe. And finally... yeah Brandon is skinny but he's yummyyyyyyy! So he's the exception to my "ack, skinny boys are gross" rule... (I know that seems kinda contradictory after dissing the bitches that were screaming over him, but it's one thing to admire his beauty quietly and then quite another to disrupt a concert by loudly squawking over it!) |

The crow is "left" of the murder because it refers to the politics of the album and the band.  |
