So, i'm wondering wich people here know eva cassidy! She's (was, she past away) a female singer with an amaaaaazing voice. She only covered songs. She was absolutely very talented! i also own a book about her.
She covered songs like: true colours, time after time and yesterday.

what do you think about her, do you know her?

Oh! I was going to start a thread about her but never got around to it.

Normally I would hate an artist who only covered songs, but her covers were magnificent. They were beyond amazing. She truly made all of those songs her own. I think she's my favorite cover artist ever - and considering how much I love some of Tori's cover songs, that is saying a lot.

I especially love Fields of Gold[/b] and What A Wonderful World[/b]. Bridge Over Troubled Water[/b] is pretty awesome, too.

It's so sad that she's gone, but she left behind quite the legacy. An amazing voice and superb talent at interpreting other people's music and putting herself right into it.

I love Eva. Fields of Gold gets me tears everytime I listen to it, as does Autumn Leaves. It's really a shame she couldn't stay among us.

I know Eva too. Fields of gold is one of my favorite songs ever... And her version of it is my favorite one.
