Ok, so I think it's just a little too soon to be 'flashing back' to the 90s, but whatever.... VH1 always does an amusing/interesting job with the flashbacks shows. (Anyone else see all 10 hours of the "I love the 80s" series?!) So, for anyone who wants to tune in and recapture their teenhood/childhood/diapered-days (lol), here's the scoop: Channel: VH1 Dates: July 12-16 Time: 9/8 Central (but check your local listings to be sure)Yep, 10 hours of 'nostalgia', including music, fashion, scandals, etc....And here's the blurp from their site... OMG, I was LMAO reading the last line about the evolution of the sideburns... www.vh1.com/shows/dyn/i_love_the_90s/series_about.jhtmlToday when I was at my local music store I noticed my purchases got put in a different bag than the regular store-logo brand... So I looked and saw the info about this upcoming show on one side... and on the other side of the bag was THIS: http://www. It was all that and a bag a chips when Pee Wee wanted to free willy which was better than what Lorena Bobbit had in mind when she took her husband's IPO and threw it in the forest as O.J. drove by in his white Bronco getting jiggy with it while the rest of us sat at home playing with our beanie babies listening to Michael Bolton wonder 'How Am I Supposed To Live Without You' instead of chillin' with Rico Suave, the Backstreet Boys, and Barney, AKA the people's dinosaur while little Miss Monica got caught in a sticky situation bringing the entire country to its knees along with Y2K fears and don't go there sneers but it's all good cuz we captured everything from the M.C. Hammer highs to the Waterworld lows in one PHAT tribute to the decade that just was.comLOL ("Help, I've fallen and I can't get up!" bahaha......)

That 'IPO' just keeps cracking me up... But anyway, I forgot to say that it will be interesting to see if (or maybe how much) they play TORI'S music on this show! I'm predicting at least Little Earthquakes will get some mention(s).

LMAO!
Doh! I wish we had cable... I was just thinking today as a matter of fact, whether 'culottes' (spelling?) were an 80s item of clothing or a 90s item. Something tells me they were a 90s item of clothing!

Something tells me they were a 90s item of clothing! ROFLMAO! Well, I know 'culottes' as a 70s thing! Um, here we had 'knickers' in the 80s, 'petal pushers' (50s trend, revisited) in the 90s, and 'skorts' and 'capris' in late 90s-into-2000s. Cullottes (at least the U.S. kind) were 'in' with the 'wrap-around' skirts and tube-tops of the 70s. I remember. My mom wore them while I sported my lace-up 'sailor' pants, halter tops and Vans. Hahah!

Hahah! LOL....oh dear. Australia must have been very behind then!!!! I had a pair of black culottes for my choir days...yuckers... Oh, I remember 'stirrup' pants -awful awful awful. They were like tights, but there was a 'stirrup' at the bottom of each leg to loop your foot through. I thought 'petal pushers' were called 'pedal pushers'! Ok, I better go before I remember another one of my 'wardrobe malfunctions' lol! ;D

LMAO! They ARE 'pedal pushers'... I must've let the fact that I was talking to YOU influence my word choice there, petal! OMG, Don't bring up the stirrup-pants! That was like a 5 year trend of one big "FASHION DON'T"! UGH! (I sometimes see older people STILL wearing them! Oh, yikes... there's so cute and they think they're 'in style' so who am I to say anything?!, lol)

"I Love The 90's" is going to be a hoot. I saw all 10 hours of "I Love the 80's" AND "I Love the 70's". I think these shows are the reason the all too tacky fashion statement the 80's declared so many forgotton years ago is coming BACK today. Oh my goodness! The only thing I like really for the most part is laughing at it or listening to the music on the radio. You should see some of these 80's videos. I can't believe people did that many drugs!
Love, Haullie

and 'skorts' and 'capris' in late 90s-into-2000s. AAAAAHAHHAHAHAHAAAAA SKORTS!! Omg, I hated them even when they were popular. My sister loved them. Always was more of a fashion-whore than me, that one.

Unfortunately, Michael Ian Black is married, with children. But I would marry him if I had the chance, too.
Thanks for posting this, Maz...I've been watching like a fiend. I'm just waiting for them to mention Altoids of Binaca...
That's so 90s...
