Funny you should say that because that's exactly how Peter felt about his voice early in his career. It came out in an interview during the late seventies (after he had left Genesis and was starting his solo career). As one gets older, you just learn to live with what you have: looks, strength, voice... and get over it.
On a similar note: Does anybody have any thoughts about the voice of two other great musicians: Bob Dylan and Mark Knopfler? Great musicians and songwriters in their own right but their voices are candidates for the sucktastic list.

i know this is gonna sound weird, especially coming from me of all people, but i actually don't think Kate Bush knows how to sing per se. it's more like... she acts the music out, and therein lies her talent. still, a soprano she is not.

I think Bob Dylan is fantastic, but the guy can't sing. ditto. A friend of mine is a huge Dylan fan and has tried to get me to listen to his music. I just can't bare his voice... I really love some of his songs performed by other artists/bands.

Train. Ye GODS. Faith Hill. Leann Rimes. Hootie and the Blowfish (except "Hold My Hand", I admit to liking that one)
...all those faceless "alternative rock" bands that sound like Creed on the radio these days. I can't even name their songs because those seem to lack titles as well as distinctive sounds.
