alright, i'm making myself a kinda "flowy" cd compilation and i need help to fill it up with great vibe-y songs. the vibe i'm trying to achieve is: "alone in the pool in a hot summer evening as the sun goes down behind you and you're left alone to good sleepiness headache and thoughts". i hope that makes sense to anyone else. anyhoo, in case it doesn't, here are some of the songs i'm using:
Jack Johnson - Times Like These
Keren Ann - Not Going Anywhere
Emma Bunton - Maybe
Kylie Minogue - Loveboat
The Underdog Project - Winter Jam
and that's just about all i got so far. help!!!

Wow I'd love to have that exact compilation myself! Except I need a pool....
Now I don't know any of the songs you posted, here are a couple I thought of:
Stars All Seem To Weep ~Beth Orton
Landslide ~Fleetwood Mac
Time ~Sarah McLachlan (or your choice of Sarah)
and maybe a Frou Frou tune...

You MUST include 'How To Disappear Completely' by Radiohead. It's from their Kid A album.
I'm a girl who'd float in her pool as the sun would go down behind the palm trees in So Cal, while listening to homemade compilations like this, so trust me!
I agree with Carly's pic of Nightswimming, too. It's one of my most favorite REM songs.
What about anything by Portishead? I love Beth Gibbons' flowy vocals and the mellow beats.

hey lady, did you forget you're talking to a Radiohead fan here too? i absolutely love that song. it's exactly the kind of vibe i'm looking for.
oh and Hels, "Landslide" is so good it ended up being on my list of favorite songs ever. and that was just after a couple spins. thank you so much!
