I wish I could 'get into' Bjork because she seems to have a talent that many people admire and love, much like Tori.
But I've tried in earnest on so many occasions to listen to her music and find something about it that I truly like.... and it just keeps bugging me! LOL
Different strokes for different folks, I guess.
She does have a couple songs that I sort of like, but not nearly enough to compete with all the music I already know I love and want to explore further.

We were joining forces when we kicked 'the wailer' out of the musical Big Brother house, remember? (and Trevor was going along with us a bit, too, if I remember correctly). she's alright. i have two albums but meh, i'm not a desperate fan. sometimes she annoys me. wouldn't trade Tori or PJ for a thousand Bjorks.

I've always found Björk very interesting, though I don't own much of her stuff. But I'm looking forward to hearing this album, knowing the concept behind it!
Paulo: Mike Patton is the singer of Faith No More, Mr. Bungle and I guess he has something going on nowadays too. I have a friend who is obsessed with him, hence I know who he is, hehe.

Yeah - he's actually done an album with a similar concept to this one! It's called "Adult Themes For Voice" and it's basically him making weird noises and background music with his voice - and an assortment of random things he's found lying around. I've not listened to the whole ablum, just snippets of songs on amazon.com (it's been on my wishlist a while! hehe) - its........ interesting. Should really get off my arse and go buy it (trying to hold out till I'm at a good local store that'll have it in stock, rather than buy online)... Y'see, he just does things like this.. It's these crazy and fucked up things that I love him for. (Quite the same reason I love people like Bowie, Tori, PJ, Tool, Manson, Bjork etc the list goes on - just people in general that do what they want and to hell with what the boring general public think) |

Please excuse my language while I throw out a big... FUCK YES, AIMS! I was so excited when I heard Mike Patton was going to be on this album. AND she's got people doing beatbox. Just when you think she can't get any crazier/better, she out does herself!!! And for those people who actually LIKE Bjork *rolls eyes at those who came in just to say they didn't like her * MTV has an exclusive so you can hear the album. Yeah, I've just been very busy lately... trying to use my two weeks of summer vacation to their fullest (pronounced: stay as far from the house and computer as possible). So, sadly that means no toriforum. And as far as Sean liking FNM... well, don't expect to hear that sort of sound. However, I think I like what I hear from this album morethan any other Bjork, so perhaps this will be the one that 'catches' you? |

Anyway, THANK YOU for that link! *kicks computer into shape* I'm listening to Pleasure Is All Mine right now... (well, in dribs and drabs - when my computer decides to play it... hehe) Wow, I just love that the background "music" is coming from people's voices instead of instruments. This is making me very excited to get the album.. YAY!  P.S. did you see her on the Olympics opening ceremony? I missed it ALL! I was so shitted when I found out she performed  |
