i don't like that one much, but i do like Öll Birtan. problem is icelandic is somewhat similar to german, so her already senseless lyrics make even less sense to me because of what they could be like in german. wait, did that just make any sense at all?

yeah, i like the song where she sings in her native tongue though...it's beautiful...
but so was anyone else slightly disturbed by the growling in number eleven? i think it's number eleven...so but yeah...it was really rather disturbing to me at first...i had to get used to it...and even now, it's just odd...

lol, i'm not sure what kind of feeling it gives me, but it's most certainly not a pleasant one! it makes me have a clastrophoby attack, at times. i panic when that one plays.

well, i'm glad i'm not the only one that feels that way about that song...i would be really interested in knowing how she had that song produced...the growl sounds animal to me...but i wonder if it really is animal...or if a human can actually make that sound...the way i describe the song to friends though is it sounds like an orgasm, someone giving birth, and then yeah, the animal...it's very very strange...

you do know she's not actually singing anything there, right? i think there are two or three songs that sound like some weird language and people would assume it's icelandic, but it's actually just bjorkish. must be quite easy writing a song when you've nothing to say, i guess.

at her official site, Bjork herself said that. Oll Brittan and Ancestors have no lyrics, that's just her belting out horse-like gutter noises.

I don't think those are the tracks people meant when they mentioned her singing in Icelandic though? I dunno maybe they did. I didn't actually think about what language those two were in to be honest (since I don't like Ancestors and never listen to it anyway lol).

yea, i really don't like Ancestors either. people might say it's an "acquired taste", but it's just bad.
