can you believe i actually haven't come that far in the album yet? if i have, i wasn't paying attention, but i think i only listened up to track 7 or 8 or something. anyhoo, my new obsession:

Cake: You turn the screw I had never even heard of Cake before I read Mary's post about Sean buying her the latest Cake album... Anyways, there was a CD fair yesterday and I found this Cake album for 5 euros... thought what the hell and bought it. I listened to it and went sleeping with this one playing in my head over and over again... by the morning I'd forgotten how it goes, but I can still say I liked it...  (What else did I buy? Tori Amos: Caught a lite sneeze single(don't ask what version, I don't even care...), PJ Harvey: To Bring you my love and Nick Cave and Kylie Minogue: Where the wild roses grow) ;D |

Cool! My favorites are Let Me Go, Never There (LOVE IT!), Sheep Go To Heaven... and Alpha Beta Parking Lot, not least because that's an old supermarket that's no longer around... a California-esque culture (circa 1980-1990) explained in the title of a song. LOL You had to know it to understand, but the song is still great on its own. |
