Ha, I was going to start a topic for this.
Looks like I didn't need to... I'm glad someone else recognized what an amazing cover it is. ;D
I will say that I can't see the video very well, since I'm on dialup, so I'm waiting for cable internet (soon) to see it... it sounds extremely good.

I gotta say though, you guys all hyped Imagine up SOOO much and when I finally got to listen to it, it was a bit dissapointing.
It's still a really good version, but yeah.
Passive is my favourite on the cd.

Sean and I have read only "blah" reviews of it. Wasn't too excited b/c it's covers, but still, I want to hear that it's good!

Well, y'know.. it's not like its a proper album or anything anyway.
It's ok. Any sort of release from a favourite band is a nice thing.
(But Passive is the best song and it kicks all the other songs arses and muahahahahaaaaaaaaaaa! *evil gleam in the eye*)

You can sense that the album was too rushed (the record label was pushing them to release a third ASAP before Maynard went to go work on another Tool cd). The cd is not bad, but it is not even close to the quality of the others. Their own (non-cover) songs on the cd were a million times better than the cover songs. "Freedom of Choice" is good, though. While "Counting Bodies Like Sheep to the Rhythm of the War Drums" is very good, I do prefer their original version ("Pet"). No regrets about getting the cd, though. |
