Despite having a few great tunes on it, I was pretty disappointed with their last album, All That You Can't Leave Behind, as a whole.
But this latest one, How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb, sounds REALLY good to me and Sean.
Our neighbor got his hands on a copy of it last week and we listened to it over the weekend. Very enjoyable.
It's released here today... Anyone else going to get it?

I don't think I'll buy it, but I've heard about 4 of the songs on the radio (besides Vertigo) and thought they were really good!
Such a relief too, coz I think Vertigo SUCKS!!
I thought it'd grow on me or something, but nope...
I look forward to the next single getting a lot of radio air play though.

I think the Vertigo guitar riff rocks but the lyrics melody sucks. It's supposed to be a teaser, and then better than the rest.

Yeers, I'd really like to get it too, but I do agree that the last album was a but disappointing, and after hearing 'Vertigo', I felt the same sort of disappointment, and a bit of deja vu (ie. 'Elevation'). I'd like to give it a good listen in-store first I think. And Mary it's good that you had a listen and liked what you heard Very promising! |

All I know is every damn time vertigo comes on my TV I want to toss it out my window...um its on every five minutes wether on mtv or the damn iPod commercial ugh  |

OMG... (yeah, that's too strong a statement) I feel like living in a bubble... I haven't watched TV or listened to radio for over three months now and I must have missed so many new things musicwise... anyways, not a huge U2 fan (though they make great music) so I guess I can wait till I get back home before I hear their latest work...

i wasn't very happy with the last album either, but two days ago i heard the new one in a music store, and let me tell you, it's the BEST thing U2 have done since the mid 80s. i don't think they've been this good since Achtung Baby. if i had the money, i'd definetely buy it.
by the way, i love Vertigo. their best single in a while.

Okay... Listened to it a few times over the last two months... Um, can't say that it's all that great. Just doesn't grab me like some of their other stuff. Damn, I really wanted it to do that!

It's ok. It doesn't really make me wanna shake a leg ya know? I love their old stuff. Old stuff rocks.... But I'm a hige fan of U2. Bono can still shake it for an oldie  |
