I would like to have your opinion on this great band that has been inspiring many bands since its explosion. I got to know this band after reading about Kurt Cobain's tastes. I instantly fell in love with Surfer Rosa/ Come On Pilgrim which is the (double) album I prefer.

Ooh! I love the Pixies! I had a lot of people telling me after they saw my CD collection that I would enjoy listening to the Pixies. This was the time when I was really stubborn and didn't like anyone telling me what I would and would not like, so I never picked them up from the library. Then I saw the movie Fight Club, which I was obsessed with for a while. In the background of the final scene was a song that blew my mind -- I really needed to get that song! I stuck around to see who it was by... Oh. The Pixies. Where is My Mind? I rushed to the record store to buy the same album that you mentioned! I think Where is My Mind? is still my favorite song, but I do enjoy the (cult) album Doolittle very much as well. Debaser always gets me dancing I'm still envious of my friend who saw them live last summer. GRRRR.

trivial fact:
"Where Is My Mind" is one of only 2 songs that the thirdsies all nominated in their toriforum favorite songs lists. ;D
another trivial fact:
Doolittle is on my own personal list of top 100 albums of all time. ;D
In conclusion:
I like Pixies, too!
PS- Cool about the COP/SR double disc thing (I'm assuming its an import) you have. I didn't even know there was such a thing!

no, it's just the two albums reunited on a single CD. Nothing rare. What is the second common Thirdsies song?
: Bells For Her - Tori

Ah, one disc, ok, then, but still I've never seen one like that here. The other song is... wait and see. (Sorry the waiting has been so long, but it's coming, I promise!) Or, you can read through our lists and see.

I like the Complete B-Sides very much. Maybe more than Doolittle.

I am so, so, so in love with the Pixies, it's not even funny. The biggest disappointment of my year was missing them when they came to Denver.

Frank Black a father!! JACK ERROL THOMPSON BORN JANUARY 7, 2005 AT 3:59 PM. HE'S PERFECT! 7 POUNDS AND 9 OUNCES OF PURE HANDSOME. Congratulations to he and Violet, we hope for their sake he doesn't learn to howl like his old man until his early teens. Or at least until he's past infanthood.
In any case, we're delighted for them and wish them all the best. Congratulations again! Send Frank your own congratulations here.
