Oh, Paulo!
I meant to say earlier that I don't much care for Nikita, either. Song For Guy, Daniel, and Empty Garden (Hey Hey Johnny) are Elton John name songs I do like, though. ;D

Omg, I'd meant to put I! Dammit, I always do that because they are in reverse order on the album! I'll go edit it. (and why didn't YOU put it in your list, silly?! lol ... and don't you like Vincent, too?) LMAO! Um, because I've listened to it and thought about it so much the past couple days that I actually convinced myself that I already put it in my list! And yes, I do love Vincent.

Redcloud: I've been liking Serge now for some years. My interest is mainly due to the kind of uhhh kitchiness of his style. Or how should I put it... some days I absolutely ADORE him and his songs, on some days I find them ridiculous. If that makes any sense He's kind of like Leonard Cohen: only in a certain mood can you take that much of romance and eroticism ;D The songs where Brigitte Bardot sings with him are cringe-worthy, yikes... Like "Bonnie and Clyde". But Initials B.B. is always great! My other favorite is "Ford Mustang". My list continues: Elisa -- Serge again So Long Marianne -- Leonard Cohen Sister Janet -- Tori (ahh I'm having such a Sister Janet-phase now) Mary Jo -- Belle and Sebastian Lord Anthony -- Belle and Sebastian Houdini -- Kate Bush Girl Named Sandoz -- Smashing Pumpkins To Sheila -- Smashing Pumpkins Sophia -- Rasmus

I find it riciculous. Still there's a song he intended to be mediocre: "Sea, Sex and Sun". He said he had listened to all the radio crap and came out with this song written in about 5 minutes. It's worthy to mention - since I've introduced you to her - that he was Vanessa Paradis's first mentor.

Because I already danced to Vanessa Paradis when her first hit Joe Le Taxi got big in Finland back in... hmm. 94 or so? And then she had that really cute summery hit, something about Sundays. Lucky Johnny Depp. Or lucky her! But I did not know that Serge was her mentor! That's very cool. She definitely has the same appeal as Brigitte Bardot, I think. Is she still recording these days, do you know?

The album this song is in was written (I'm not sure) and composed by Lenny Kravitz. both are lucky, I think. They're too lovely together! Serge and BB sang Comic Strip together, do you know this song? She said in the show I last saw her that her next album is being finalized and may be released by the end of the year.
