And this? Btw, there's a link for downloading the whole album... ejm... maybe I shouldnt be posting this, but it's all over the internet, so guess no authority would care. Anyways, if you want it, just PM me or post here and I'll send it to you. And dont worry Miranda, I'm sendin you a copy anyway.
: Better version of me - Fiona Apple
Now, I KNOW I've seen that pic before. So if they're using it for the album cover, they're reaaaaaaaalllllly lazy... hehehe.

Guys, there IS no album cover other than what fans have come up with. Album art doesn't happen unless an album is released.
As to the actual music... wow, I'm rather fascinated. I'm not sure if it quite matches When The Pawn but it's very early days and I may eventually decide it does. It certainly isn't far behind. It's very rich and complex and full of subtle emotion.
I reckon Oh Well could make a single, but then the cynical side of me says that 90% of the public and 100% of record executives would say no after hearing the bass line of the piano before she even starts singing.
And I still think the title track is CRYING out to be used over the opening credits of a film.

Well I knew there wasn't an album cover yet... I'm just saying that none of those look even close anyway. Though the ones that did more than just add "Extraordinary Machine" to a pre-existing Fiona photo at least tried a little harder. That first one is kinda shocking... bionic Fiona... whoa.

OMG Jay I FUCKIN LOVE YOUR SIGNATURE!!!!! LoL OMG me too!!! ;D That is hands down my absolutely favorite Fiona song. I always listen to that song several times when I play Tidal. My favorite line besides that one is Full is not heavy as empty, not nearly my love, not nearly... As for the new cd, I haven't decided yet. I like it but I don't love it and don't know if I will yet. I'll have to listen more and get into the lyrics. Stephanie

And I still think the title track is CRYING out to be used over the opening credits of a film. OMG, I totally agree with this. Some kind of quirky film, like an Amelie-eque movie or something. I'm addicted to Oh Well, Not About Love, and Window. But I LOVE all the songs. I think Get Him Back is particularly clever and Red, Red, Red just blows me away. I do feel now, after about 2 dozen full listens to the EM songs, that this album surpasses When The Pawn for me as top favorite... which is saying a lot. EXCEPT!... I will always prefer the more quiet moments on WTP over the (much fewer, it seems to me) ones on EM. (I was wishing she did something kind of along the lines of I Know for this album... not necessarily as a closer, but just as another little quiet piece of beauty amongst the more lively and powerful songs. Not a complaint; just a wish.) I saw another really cool "fake" album cover on a deviant art site that someone made and that one by far was my favorite. It was bluish and made from an old pic of Fiona, of course. Very pretty.

This album is making me want to go out and get When the Pawn. I have Tidal, and have always loved it, but never got around to getting WTP. Maybe with my next paycheck. I was going to get APC's Mer de Noms w/ it, but Alex got it w/ his birthday money, so....
anyway, I digress. I love this album!
Right now I am in love with Not About Love (which I felt kind of so-so about at first) and Better Version of Me.
I really love the enpowering songs she has on this album. ;D
