I don't if you know this 80's punk band. If you do, do you like them?

The lyrics are more often than not political and leftist.

Two of the most famous songs are called California Über Alles (about Gov. Jerry Brown) and Holiday In Cambodia (about Pol Pot).

I've heard of them, but don't know anything about them... hehe.
I watched some documentary on brit pop a while ago and I'm pretty sure Oasis talked about The Dead Kennedys for ages.
Or wait, was it the Stone Roses? Damn I dunno.... either/or. My post doesn't make any sense now. Oh well.

EDIT: Oh yeah, the lead singer of this band kinda looked like an alien.. if that's how the Dead Kennedys frontman looks, then that's who I'm talking about?
