Ok so I've noticed that I, as well as many of my friends, tend to go through artist obessesion phases from time to time. You know, when you realize that the last ten posts you've made in Now Playing have all been Damien Rice, or when four of the five discs in your CD player are Tool, or when ohhh I don't know every time you leave the house you have Fiona Apple in your CD player for a week. So as a companion to the Songs That Rock Your Socks Off! thread, I think it would be fun to have this one. I for one know I'd love to see what's been in your players for a week straight now :-) As for me... well... I think you already know. I think I'm inviting Fiona to take the same place in my musical heart as Björk, PJ Harvey, and Tori herself. Of course Tori's corner is a fair amount bigger than the others.

Oh yeah I do that. But not so much lately. I generally listen to random songs on my computer these days.
But I guess over the last month I've been listening to a lot of Green Day and NIN. And my Justin Tranter cd has been getting a few extra spins lately too.

at the moment all i do is listen to tori amos. i re-discovered "from the choirgirl hotel" and i think that it's on its way to becoming my favourite album. i really really really really really really hope she'll sing "she's your cocaine" and/or "northern lad" on june 21st. but how unlikely is that?

"At the moment all I do listen is Tori Amos" Ditto here. Except from Fiona's Get gone I listened to yesterday w/ Jay and Chopin... But that's nothing compared to my Tori non stop sets. lol And dont be negative, matze, she may sing those songs... At least they're not Purple People, you know? That is impossible. So, good luck! ;D xoxo

You'd think I'd be all into Tori, what with the upcoming concert, but I'm in a Björk phase right now. I've been craving Homogenic for so long and finally finding it when I thought it was lost has launched me into an obsession. It's one of those rare CDs I can play over and over and over again, day in and day out, and not even switch. Not even to other Björk CDs.

I've had this Ark obsession for this week... I have their two first albums and though I love the first , the second one, In Lust We Trust, I'm getting really into only now... They have a new album out too, and they've changed their style a bit... haven't really loved what I heard so far... but who knows...

I do love me some Tori pretty much every day.
But right now I've fallen back in love with Alanis, Carina Round new Fiona, Baby! (because that's how I'm saying her name tonight), and Patty Griffin.
These women ROCK MY NO-SOCKS SOCKS OFF lately!

Ok I think it's safe to say that I'm getting thoroughly sucked into yet another wave of Nine Inch Nails obsession. I'm almost counting down the hours till I can race out after work and buy the new album. And I hate that there are all these cool pre-order deals online right now with bonus tshirts and posters coz I can't afford to buy stuff online right now!

Dead Kennedys' album Fresh Fruits For Rotting Vegetables has been stuck in my CD player for quite a long time.

I got my Rachael Yamagata cd in mail today... ordered it online on Sunday... I love it! Thanks everybody who talked about her, otherwise I might have never found her! (I did have it as mp3s already but it sounds much better in CD form)
