First of all I want to thank gck for letting use know what the correct password for the new orleans presale was. I have had a very stressful week trying to get my tori tickets for the new orleans show. I just wanted to inform everyone that the online presale isn't what it is cracked out to be. I did the online presale and received Row Z seats 10 and 11 which are far left in the orch. The general sale started this morning and I was getting tickets for a friend. Well I was able to get Row J seats 108 and 109. Row J is like 16 rows closer than row Z. What the hell!!!!! So when you do the presale you are actually not getting TEXT the seats that are available.

Exactly. What is the point in having a online presale if you are not going to have all seats available. I know next time not to fret over the online presale. The whole thing was a complete disaster. They sent out the wrong password for the presale and didn't send out the correct one until two hours later. Someone was nice enough to give me the correct password that they had to figure out by guessing. I am sorry I am not usually this mad. But I can't wait to go to the concert.

In general, the pre-sales suck. Never buy the first set that comes up. Even by trying again by refusing the first set that comes up, you can usually get a better set. A lot of time you can do better by waiting for the regular sale. Ticketmaster is really weird. They leave blocks of tickets available to sell later as the show gets closer. For instance, just this last week, I had been scanning Ticketmaster every day for a better seat to Annie Lennox. On Tuesday last week, a row F ticket came up but I stupidly passed on it. A day later, row BB (way back) was available, no row F. I was kicking myself in the head until yesterday, Sunday (the show is this Wednesday), I found a row D ticket. Bingo! Bought it, now I will be 4 rows away from Annie. Unless it is a really small venue, EWFs are advised to wait until closer to the show (even the day of the show) to get better seats. However, if you don't like that uncertainty, then buy through regular sale or pre-sale, just keep on trying everyday to see if something else has opened up.

that happened to me as well...
last year (november) we got tickets from the presale, and ended up 8 rows from the back! i was so upset, cause it was my very first tori show. but i decided to not get to upset cause at least i was there you know...
so this past febuary i went with some friends and decided that i would just go and buy them from ticketmaster in the mall. we were 9 rows from the front, right in orchestra!!! you could see everything on stage, it was great.
so, needless to say, i will never ever buy tickets from a presale again!

you know whats funny? in 2001, when i went to both d.c shows, the first night i was in the balcony.. and that night i met tori. the second night, i was on the floor, 11 rows back. both were bought on presale. and both night's i met tori. i was too excited going to this concert to think straight.. but i'm tempted to try it differently this time [for CHICAGO IN AUGUST!]
