I'm gonna devour this book when it comes out I think! Learning more about Tori's creative processes and things utterly fascinates me. She seems to really respect and have a good friendship with Ann Powers too. I've read a couple of interviews online, and both have been quite long and involved. It all sounds great  |

y'all are gonna hate me... but i HAVE it!!! ;D i got a hold of an advanced copy for reviewers - i got it yesterday and read a quarter of it (i am already sleep deprived or i would have stayed up and read it all!) it is AWESOME! (i'll have to buy the real thing though for good photos, this has B&W photocopies instead of real photos. but it's worth it!!) AND.... it comes out before the album, and it talks about the new songs (titles and inspiration for them!) so YES you must get it!!!!

yes she does (although a lot of that is covered in the other book about her that came out years ago....)
i only got 1/4 of the way through last night. it's awesome! i've decided i'll write an actual detailed review (and maybe throw in a few tidbits about the new album) after i read it, and post it everywhere i know! so you'll hear more about it, but it's definitely a great deal!

k8et, thanks so much for sharing with us!  I've just come from The Dent, where there is an update on the book, and my excitement is growing by the minute it seems!! I was soooo hoping Tori would talk about the new album. That's wonderful to know We might need to make a spoiler thread though...

hi! i am almost done with the book. when i am i will write a real review, with some juicy tidbits, and post it here (i'll put a spoiler warning if you like!) in the meantime, i typed up a page and put it on my political blog - knittykitty.blogs.com/angry_snatch/ it's not really a spoiler, it's a talk between tori and a medicine woman (mostly the medicine woman) about the country and the leaders of the country. enjoy! and i'll be back within a week with my full review  |

All those song titles got me excited/hyper. LOL, I really like trying to imagine what songs sound like just from the titles, despite the fact that I always fail dismally. EDIT: Wait a minute, where did they all go? I followed the link yesterday and it was there. Did something happen to your blog? DOUBLE EDIT: Whoops, wrong link, found it again   TRIPLE EDIT: Between this and other information, there are titles for THIRTEEN songs already! If they're all on the album, that is. |
