While she's really beautiful on the sleeve, I don't like singers to have their mug too big on a sleeve. Usually singers who do that are being less artistic and/or want to sell more easily this way and/ or are purely commercial. If there's no real artistic ambition for her pic, I like it less. So FTH is not in this case for me. btw, do you turn the pages of the booklet to have another sleeve? I often do this. FTCH pictures her in the blueish bed sheets. And the back page for Scarlet's Walk. So maybe i'll do the same for the Beekeeper! lol

Heh, I think I know what you mean cloudy, but on this occasion I really like it. I think because there are just so many recent covers to compare it to -for example, Hilary Duff's mug is quite prominent on her album, and then there's Britney looking like an utter... mm mmm on her greatest hits album... etc etc. The design is very pretty too. Something I'm loving the most though, is the fact that she isn't wearing so much make-up. While I think she looked absolutely amazing on the TOAL cover, I still thought maybe 'too much face paint!' She looks very fresh on this, whether it's been airbrushed or not, LOL! Oh! I don't think I've ever changed the pages of the sleeve! But you know, I always thought the picture of Tori 'sleeping' with the bits and pieces laid out around her (from the UTP sleeve) would have been fabulous as the cover. I'm not the biggest fan of xeroxed Tori either, and the 'underwater' images in the sleeve are soooooo much more stunning. But there you are!! Too much babbling now, so I better go....

I really like it. It's the colour scheme I think, very subtle yet warm.

she does look very natural , hels said it best. The thing i like is its just tori no special hair or anything like that, just our lady looking her best. Not smiling cheesy or trying to hard just there looking gorgeous, almost saying "dont you just want to open it and put it in ur cd player?" I'm just so damn excited. I really really hope in the next tour she goes with this look ...dressed down , no flowy totally hide her figure costume type dresses, I wasnt a fan of that, at the lotta pianos tour she came out looking like Freddie Mercury circa 1979, but she was beautiful just a little much, so yes ramble ramble ramble I love the new cd cover FABOO

btw, do you turn the pages of the booklet to have another sleeve? I often do this. FTCH pictures her in the blueish bed sheets. And the back page for Scarlet's Walk. Sometimes. I only usually do it with Rammstein's Sehnsucht album, coz I think the sleeve is made for you to do that anyway (I always keep the pic of Flake on the front, it's my favourite). Only other one I do it with is the special edition of Aenima (Tool).

That looks kind of like a poster or a book cover more than an album cover... Very much in the style of Under the Pink, regarding the colors. I'm still a bit ambivalent about it though.
But on the topic of artists having their faces on the albums, we had a conversation like that with a friend. Paraphrased:
He: I used to like Tori, but then I realized that she has her face on her album covers. Isn't that just too egotistical and narcissistic?
Me: Yeah. I mean, damn that Stephen Hawking for having his face on the cover of "A Brief History of Time", what a sell-out and a poseur.

I LOVE the sleeve. She doesn't really stand out just pops out enough. Also she looks lovely in the pic. Casual, a really good pic of her.

Jenni, has your friend not noticed that nearly all solo artists have their face on their album covers?
Kind of makes it easier to recognise the albums in a sale anyway, so it's a good thing!

Probably not! Dang, that's what I'll tell him next time if he still keeps mentioning the Tori-thing. Now that I think of it, he seems to mostly listen to "obscure" bands who rarely have their faces on the covers.
