my sister loves this song, she was giggling during the whole duration of it. BAHAHA! I played Hoochie Woman for my sister because I knew it would make her laugh. And it did. She loves that song.

Meanwhile my sister is saying, 'This music is terrible.' I was crushed. If there's any song on that album that my sis would be remotely interested in, it would be Hoochie Woman. But no! Our ears are made of something entirely different. But I am glad that some sisters are liking it!

Often for better, but we need a minimum number of people to talk about the music we like.

Wow, I'm actually quite surprised to read such negative reactions from anyone... this was one of the first five songs I downloaded before I made myself wait for the rest, and the very moment I began to listen to it I was in some sorta love. I guess I just thought it would be a fan favorite... I think of it as Wednesday[/b] only better. Maybe it's because it really reminds me of old Tori (which it REALLY does), or just because it's so hipshakeable, but this song is one of my favorites. It's just... fun. [/quote] omg! i said to matt, "remember how people got all happy and dancy when she played wednesday? well i bet itll be the same when she plays hoochie woman" that is sooooooooooooo funny that you said that

I think it's clever and funny and FUN. An interesting way to approach the subject of being cheated on, which of course is normally thought to be a topic that would produce a negative angsty song. Here Tori is almost laughing at the reality of it all. The ending is hilarious to me. It would have been clever and funny in the 50's... but these days... what woman brags about bringing in the bacon? I really dislike this song for its lyrics. UNLESS 'bacon' is something more than a pile of bucks... hahaa! Oh nevermind me.

I don't care for it, as I don't care for many of the songs off The Beekeeper. But, I would have to say that it's better than Ireland!

I absolutely LOVE it! It's so groovy and sassy! I think the piano break sounds like the piano intro to "Professional Widow". I love when she sings, "'Cause boys I bring home the bacon." in that sassy little voice of her's...I can just see her grinning during this recording.
