Well, "Spy & Cry" is what a guy in the livejournal aussie tour community called it... which Hels and I couldn't help but agree with  (This is mostly copied and pasted from my livejournal, but I've added a lot of stuff so that it's more relevant/explain-ish for you guys that don't do the whole lj thing!)So, here's the run down on the situation... Helen and I got to the venue around 1 pm and met Ben who was sitting out the front... there were about 4 other people sitting around out there too. Anyway, Ben left to buy a cd for Tori to sign.. (like me, he forgot to bring what he wanted signed! Lol I was more retarded though because I realised I'd left my Beekeeper Ltd Ed. at home on my way to the airport last Friday... and so I had to buy a normal version of it at the airport when I was waiting to get on the plane... d'oh!)Then the little group of girls got up and walked down the side of the building... so Hels and I figured we'd go for a little stroll around the side too, just to see if people were gathering elsewhere. Well, they WERE. There was a line and we ended up being numbers 38 and 39. Poor Ben ended up number 50-something (I think??) when he got back from buying a cd. So we waited around in the cold for a couple of hours until a lady came out around 3pm and told us to get in line in our number order, and Tori would be out at 4 pm and we'd all get our turn to talk to her and get stuff signed..............  The line as it looked when I was returning from a toilet/coffee-purchasing break around 3.30-ish..

Hels posing, cheesy-Mentos-ad style..  So anyway, 4 pm arrived and no Tori... 4.10, no Tori.... 4.30, NO TORI... I can't remember exactly what time it was, but maybe around 4.45 one of her guys (plus big random security dudes.. no Smitty though!! I was disappointed lol) came out and told us that they'd been running really late, so we had to go stand on the footpath, and Tori would be out soon to talk to us.. and we could ask her questions and take photos etc. ~ The cool thing though, was Jrie probably wouldn't have made it over from Uni in time if things had gone to plan, but because of the shoddy way the M&G ended up, she arrived JUST in time to see Tori, so YAY!!  ~ About 10 mins later (approx?) out came Tori...     This lil girl was also called Tori.. she was SO well behaved for the however many hours she was waiting in line with us all.. it had to be longer than Hels and I anyway, coz she and her parents were maybe 10 people ahead of us..    My fave pic. Cheeky monkey! Oh well. I remember saying to a few people before I left that if I couldn't meet her, then I hoped to at least take photos from afar.. And I did achieve that, so technically it was a success. But you know, it was kinda disappointing as hell.. However I still felt very VERY lucky indeed.. And it's not an experience I'm ever going to take for granted. And I'm going to have a rare shiny optomistic moment right now and say: "next tour! we'll meet her on the next tour!" ;D  |

Yay, Aims! They came out really well!! Thanks for posting them so quickly ~ I snatched them ALL, haha. I promise I won't forget my camera next time...
I loved your Spy & Cry story too ~ it was a good dose of mixed memories!
Oh, I've still got a few pics left to take on my disposable, but I'll have them developed soon, and then go to Officeworks to get them scanned. That is, if they turn out ok. ;D

hello everybody! this review is late and wont be as indepth as trevor's because i am so over my head in school work right now... but i will try to write as much as i can... although what i really wanna do is share some great pics w u guys... so enjoy!!! so thursdays for me are usually a pretty long day at school.... in between 1 lecture and a 2 hr practical... i usually have a four hr break... which sees me wondering ard school aimlessly... attempting to go to the library to do some work.... but then ending up at the computer surfing the net instead... this thursday however... i woke up and had the worse cramps as i always do this time of mth and sourly ambled my way ard my very tiny room getting ready for school... after the lecture i had to meet my grp partner to prepare our powerpoint slide for our presentation (which went very well btw) so my 4 hr break became a 4 hr long session that was painfully stressful on top of my painful ovaries which by that time was very unhappy..... then immediately after that was done... i got to rest a bit before proceeding immediately into my practical which on that day was all about fungi.... now dun get me wrong... i love fungi... but that day... i just didnt feel up to anything... i was in pain and my eyes were tired... then of course... i went to rub my eyes and got some spores in them... so it got all red and i got all cranky... as time flew by... school was over and i rushed down to meet up w hels and aims.... got lost a bit and poor helen had to come and escort me to where the meet and greet was... and i couldnt believe it but i came just in the nick of time.... at this pt though i have to say i am really upset that the m&g didnt go to plan for helen and aimee and boy did i feel lucky... and gulity as well... for being among all these pple who were waiting for tori the entire day and deserved to see her more than i did.... soon tori came out... and i was so excited that i put my camera in the wrong mode and had so much problems with it! so i got some crappy pictures... but i cant complain....  "hi jrie! yes! im looking right at you!"so after this... we rushed home to helen's place... where our two princesses needed to get ready....  "yes dad! i saw tori!!!! AHHHH!!!!"after lots of frantic girl troubles.....  "let me iron or i'll iron u!!!" aims: "leave my dry nose out of this...."finally they were ready...  "tada!"and with our tickets safely tucked away...  we left to surprise helen's friend jodie.... our little angel helen bought her friend a ticket to see tori too!! group photo!  L-R ben, jodie, aims, me and helen.... some pre concert merchandise...  "i love me new tshirt"and we were ready...... |

continued... hamer hall is beautiful! everything was beautiful! i was sooo excited! i couldnt wait.. but wait we did.... tyronne came out and did his few songs.... now i could hardly pay attention as in front of me... sat this guy with LOTS of hair! he was blocking my view and i was fucking annoyed!!!! now not only did he have a lot of hair which he occasionally flicked his head ard to get his hair out of his face.... he also had a problem with keeping his head in one position... as soon as i found a confortable position where i could view the stage wout obstructions... he happily changed his head position.... now u dun go and annoy girls with period cramps....... i was staring at his back so hard.... if looks could kill his hair would be on fire and scorched down to nothingness.... soon tyronne was done and i was trying my best to look on the bright side of things... hey i just saw tori and im going to watch her perform in a while... i really cant complain.... and then.... miracle upon miracles!!! the big head guy was in the wrong seat! and the rightful owner came along and reclaimed his seat! lucky lucky me! i am happy..... tori soon came out and i could not wipe the smile off my face...... i really don't remember the setlist! but the whole concert were all highlights for me..... i almost cried when i heard amber waves... and then again when i heard mother..... and of course.... merman! i still cant believe she did it.... i also thoroughly enjoyed puff the magic dragon.... it was sad... and melancholic and tori did it perfectly... everything was in-fucking-credible... tori gave a fantastic performance and i couldnt stop smiling.... i was so so happy.....  a shot of the whole stage... there is so much to say.... there really is... too much! and if i say it all... i would still be here at dinner time... and i really have to get down to my work.. so i hope u guys enjoyed this... i had a perfect night..... and I LOVE TORI AMOS..... so much.....  |

Awww Jrie that was fantastic, thank you!! I really liked your little review, even if it was a rush job ;D And the captions you did for those pics cracked me up.. now you've cheered me up twice in one day! Thanks EDIT: ROFL! I can't believe you mentioned that funny-haired guy! He was annoying me too.. lol. I dunno if you noticed it, but he smelled funny too... I guess you must've coz you were sitting closer to him at first (till he moved seats and was nearer to me).. or maybe I just have a good sense of smell. Ooh it must be because of my stupid dry nose  EDIT # 2: Awww that is my favourite pic of Tori from all your M&G pics too, btw. |

aims! he was sitting near u in the end? i thought i saw him shift outta all our views of the stage.... like at the other end.... at least he wasnt blocking your view of the stage right? and yes.... he did smell funny.... it must have been his christmas tinsel sweater....which we should assume he hadnt washed since christmas...... ROFLMAO.... Yeah he was like one seat over to the right from the seat in front of me. Hahahahah omg, yes his sweater DID look like it had tinsel on it!! Oh funny. I actually kinda like him now because he's provided such amusing memories for me. Much better than the two dickheads sitting in front of me in Sydney (I have a feeling they're the ones Trevor was referring to as being annoying in his review!) - oh man I wanted to smack them in the head.. heh. |

Helen, the photo of you with the tickets is somehow both beautiful and hilarious.
Jrie, the two photos from during the concert are simply beautiful!
Aims, the people I mentioned in my review were straight in front of me, didn't realise you had problems with your seat! And the guy and girl I had really only misbehaved in the one song.
