I guess you need an account to post on this thread... anyway I just wanted to add, I'm going to miss you all - in fact, my heart broke the instant I clicked "ok" when it asked me if I really wanted to do this. I don't... but even as my heart breaks leaving you all, it's just... I'm not who you think I am, and having all these expectations of who you are from people who've known you for years when you've changed so much over the past few months... it's so hard to be who you've become when everyone wants you to be who you were. Hopefully that makes sense. Take care, keep in touch - empirerecords@gmail.com if you'd like to email me. I think I'll quit posting here too, for a different reason though: I just dont think I communicate on the same level as most of the people here. That’s not a bad thing on your or my part it just means that were different. If anything I don’t think that I'm mature enough to participate in your discussions. Anyway we had some good times and I'll miss you all. If anyone wants to contact me my mail is: mtghoojar@yahoo.com edit - tori amos for ever!

I just wanted to update everyone on how Kevin is doing, since it's been forever since I've been here! A quick background for those of you that don't know who or what I'm talking about: Kevin is my son. He was born with a Mitochondrial disease, and spent a month in the NICU here in NY. He was born hypotonic (no muscle tone), and had to recieve food througha tube, oxygen through a hood, and it was a really scary time. He has had many different tests done, and we still have no idea what kind of Mito diesase he has. We're hopeful that because he's doing SO MUCH better than anyone imagined, that it isn't something we have to worry about. But we still take it day by day. OK, on to the goods: I don't remember when I lasted updated, BUT: Kevin is currently 1 yr old, and is trying to ROLL OVER!!!!! And he's working on sitting up by himself as well!!! In the next few weeks, we'll be cutting his tube feedings down by half during the day, to help him know when he is hungry. This is hopefully going to get him to eat more orally, and we're going to work on getting him to drink too. As most of you know, these are HUGE steps for him! And I wanted to share how excited we are to see him doing more and more. He can currently: lift and play with his hands/arms. He uses his hands to grab, throw, clap, and play "Where's the baby?". He has just learned to kick his legs, and is working them as much as he can, to ready himself for crawling, hehehehe. He also talks up a storm, and likes to say "nananana(Arianna)" the most. He now has 4 little teeth, and there are 2 more making their way through. It has been such a hard, long year, but it all is SOOO worth everything he has taught us. I have a special page for him here: www.caringbridge.org/visit/kevinwesdorpIt needs to be updated though. As for us, we're all doing very well. Arianna is 5 now. And she's cute and funny (like always). She's also turning into a girly girl, which is amusing and some days draining (especially when she's changing her clothes 5000x a day, lol). She's in the top of her "class" and is doing work on a 1st grade level, but she still needs to work on her writing and spelling. Jade is getting SO BIG. He's now 7 yrs old. Can you believe that?!?! Jad eis doing so very well in school. He's reading on a 2nd to 3rd grade level AND doing 2nd grade math! GO HIM! He has also become the "typical boy", where everything that is gross is cool and anything mushy...is not. LOL. Hubby now has a full time job at the college. YAY! No more multiple part time jobs for him. ;D He actually likes it there, and we have awsome benefits, including FREE tuition for the kids after he's been there 7 yrs! Plus, he works the same hours every day, so we don't have to guess what's going on. he also has weekends off, which helps alot. He'll be taking a month off work when I have the baby He also shaved his head, and looks awfully funny. But I love the guy, even with his shaved head, lol. As for me, I'm doing pretty good. I have some rough days, but it's just the hormones (I hope, haha). I don't even feel pregnant, and I'm only reminded when I get kicked someplace. I'm currently 23 wks. Only 16 more to go! One more month, and I'll be in the 3rd trimester. I can't believe how fast this is all going. I have alot of worries, but all of it is natural, especially after what I went through with Kevin. I'm taking it day by day, and hoping for the best. We have an idea of what we're having, but we're still not 100% sure. So far, all colors lead us to PINK. HAHA! All I know, is there was no sign of a penis, k? lol. Arianna says that Sprout is definitly a girl, cause she knows these things She actually told the tech doing the U/S "We don't need to have one sof those you know. We already know it's a girl!" hahahahaha. So, that's about all. I'm going to really try to be around a bit more, even if it's only once a day. And even if I don't post replies or anything, I'll be lurking, reading posts and such. *hugs*

I was SO excited to read your update, Sam!! I've been thinking of you and hoping that things were going along well for you, but I haven't been over at lj much lately. I was just like Arianna in terms of the clothes changing at her age (who am I kidding, I still do that! ). I can't believe you are so far along already! It sounds like things are going well (and busy!) for you. Thanks a bunch for keeping us posted!!

Ben--good to know that you'll still be present in other ways than posting. I sure will miss your biking pictures and fun threads. I doubt I have met anyone online who appreciates biking quite as much as I do (but your biking is of course way cooler than mine).
If you ever have more fun puns to share with us, don't hesitate. You're a Rocking person and we'll miss ya!
Jay--welcome back-ish! Anew and shiny!

Ben, well it's too bad. I hope you change your mind. You're too cool to leave, and you ride an awesome bike.... much love, honey.
Jay-I PMed you and I'm glad that you're here again. I missed you.
I guess I've been away for a while. Things were very scary and crazy here for a while. Shaun and I had broken apart but now we are back together and we are planning to renew our vows on our fifth wedding anniversary and go on a second honeymoon. It's time for renewal. It is spring. xo

You have to come back once the Tool album's out so we can go all obsessive-fan losers over it.

See you later, gators! I'll be spending the following two weeks in Germany and then flying straight across the Atlantic. I'll probably get back online after those two weeks. At some point. But until then, behave you all!

Super advance announcement, not least because I hardly ever plan this far ahead and I'm falling over in shock at my own planning.
You won't see much of me around here in December. If you DO see me, it will probably be from Mary's computer, because I'll be hanging around her place for a week on the way to my best friend's wedding in the UK.
Where I will be wearing a kilt. I don't think that's quite seeped into my brain properly yet. A kilt. At a wedding. IN WINTER.
Anyhow, all very exciting. And a little expensive (hint for all prospective travellers - getting flights in the week before Christmas is tough even this far ahead, so book early!) but it should all be well and truly worth it.

Wow, Trevor that's awesome! #10# I hope you realise that you'll be expected to post plenty of photos (of you and Mary, and yes, you in the kilt! hehe) After your mate's wedding are you going to stay up that way for a white christmas? That'll be an experience I'm sure!
