I have neglected this thread for way too long! My apologies for all of the news that I've missed. My life is a little scrambled right now. Anyway... CONGRATS on the new job Monika!! Congratulations Fabio! That's wonderful. Have fun working on it! Sabrina, I can't believe I missed that post. (And I've been ridiculously absent from lj, I just logged back in a few mins ago). I am so glad that you are doing well. Take care and hopefully I'll get my butt online more often (ha! right? ) so that I can catch you when you're around.

My little announcement (I think I posted this already somewhere else)... I finally quit my job.
For anyone that doesn't already know: I've been working there for 5 years and it was leading NOwhere. I've been miserable because I am their most productive sales rep and I have been there longer than any other rep; I never give them any trouble (I can probably count on one hand how many times I have even called in sick during my entire time there); YET the supervisors call ME for information that they are supposed to know on a daily basis -- rather than promoting me; they send me out of state to random places where I actually lose sales to help them out; they don't give raises for my position; I have no health insurance... geez I could go on forever but I'll stop boring you now... anyway...
...but I couldn't get up the nerve to give them my notice unless I secured a perfect job first, but I finally did it anyway.
I am moving (again) at the end of May, and rather than ask for a transfer again, I gave them my two months notice in a letter of resignation so that they would know that I'm really leaving this time... and so that they would have time to possibly find a way to keep me (in my company, you only seem to get a promotion when to tell them that you're leaving).
So, I'm a bit nervous because I don't have a new job waiting for me, but at least I won't have the old one dragging me down.

First off, Lau... loads of good luck! I've been looking for jobs now too, it's a crazy world!
Then my announcements:
1) Next weekend is Vappu, one of the biggest celebrations in Finland. So instead of being online, I'll be hanging out with friends outside, hopefully eating good food and having nice drinks. Right after that we'll be on our way to Seattle, US of A! So you won't be hearing much of me for some time during and after (for a while) this upcoming weekend.
2) I've done with my school! All courses are completed except for one teaching practice which I'll do in August (I was accepted in the program, yay!). Everything else is over, like the cooking battles in Iron Chef! All I need to now do is finish my Master's thesis, and then that's it!
(2.5 Oh and I'm a BA! That's old news already since February, but I don't think I ever came here to tell it...)
3) Today I'm feeling great! ;D

wow! lucky you for 1 to 2.5! Hope you come back soon and tell us how it was! I'll be away altogether 2 months. So that's enough time for me to get bored at times and get online, so no worries, I'll keep everyone updated! I'll try to post sometime soon after we've arrived. I just probably won't be online quite as much as these days (which isn't too much anyway...)

Jenni, Congratulations! You'll have to tell us if you like living in Seattle--we were once thinking of moving there. I hope you enjoy your holidays with your honey .

Going to Seattle would be like going to a historical place for me, because of grunge and Nirvana. I'd love to visit this city.
