Hey, everyone. I need to let you know that I won't be around much this week and probably not much next week, either. I've been fighting a few illnesses, one after the other. As a result, my body has been left with a terrible infection (below a tooth, although now the infection is into my jaw and neck) that just isn't healing well. It sort of spiraled into a total mess 3 days ago and I've seen doctors and dentists and endodontists and been put on a nice cocktail of antibiotics, painkillers and anti-inflammatories. I even took a shot in my behind to help bring down the swelling faster, because the pressure from the swelling on my entire head was so severe I literally couldn't see straight. The pain is horrible, but at least bearable now, but it's the infection that is just being stubborn. Antibiotics aren't doing enough to get rid of it and my face is completely swollen on my right side. This morning I had to have my mouth cut into and drained, which actually brought a lot of relief, as unpleasant as it was. I'm resting and taking things day by day and the doctors/dentists are doing what they can. Right now the swelling needs to go down and the infection has to be wiped out before they can do any kind of treatment to the tooth for long term healing. I'm in a lot of pain and I HATE having to take meds to get through this. Most of all, I hate missing out on life. I'm trying really hard to NOT let this get me down or depressed. Please think good thoughts, pray, whatever you do. I hope to be back in a few days if I can get a handle on this. I'm quite used to severe tooth pain as I've had TONS of dental work done. You name it, I've had it done. But I've never had an infection this bad. I need to get better.  Thank you all, I miss you. - M. -cc Whatever thread in lounge

Announcement!
I'm exhausted. LOL
A quick explanation for you guys (especially for Mandy who was asking...)
We bought a new, bigger house last month and sold this one (it sold really quickly). We are moving out of this one right this minute, doing the last minute cleaning and then we're out of here forever.
Our brand new house won't be ready until late Sept/early Oct. We are staying in an apartment while we wait for them to finish building the house. Our new town is about an hour away. We will be closer to Sean's office, although that wasn't the reason for the move, we just loved the house! We need the bigger space, had been considering a move for about the past year, and if we were going to make the move now was the time to do it in this seller's market and while the kids are young enough to adjust to a new school (great school system, too). We are very excited about the house, of course, but it's going to be pretty hectic for the next couple months, but especially the next 3 weeks:
We are leaving for vacation this coming Monday and will be gone for a week, so you won't see me here at all.
The following week we return and have to wait about a week for the internet company to send us a modem so you won't see me here at all.
Then the kids will be in their 2nd week of school and I'll be unpacking a bazillion boxes and sorting things out not just for the temporary apartment living, but for the more permanent living we'll eventually be doing in the new house, so, uh, you won't see me here (hardly) at all.
That basically means I'll see you all sometime toward the middle or end of August and, even then, it won't be very often. I'll look forward to checking in when I can. At some point I'll post some pics of the new house, too. Wishing you all well! If you need anything, please see any of the other moderators for help.

As you might've gathered from my recent absence from the Toriforum, I've been very busy: I'm tutoring in Finnish for Foreigners for this month, and next month I will work as a "real" teacher in an intensive introductory course of Finnish. It's very exciting! I should also be writing about 20 pages worth of my thesis introduction by the end of August.... gulp! I miss you guys and hope that I'll have some free time soonish to come play here more often and with more concentration.
However, the announcement was that I will be having my first ever job interview (and it's not a cleaning job) next week's Wednesday in Tampere--a town about 5 hours from here. I have to go on the morning train and come back very late in the evening. Costs a bit of money, but still... I'm very excited and I really hope to get this job! It would be a position in an English school for non-native English speaking kids. Job description was pretty much like "singing and playing in English", hehehe.

I WAS HIRED! I'm now officially a course organizer in Joensuu, will get my own email address and everything, muhahaha. The contract will come in the mail on monday, and today I might receive my first online-orientation "lesson". Sounds... professional. I'm now also a bit scared of the amount of responsibilities!
