Hi everyone I just now got back from seeing Tori in Cary NC. The show was AWESOME!!!! I't was a very small venue in the woods next to a lake, you could hear the crickets and the frogs chirping as she played. It was VERY hot and humid which tori commented on saying she loved the heat cause she was born not to far from there and her mom said it was very hot then, so it was in her blood. The set list was: Original Sin Little Amserdam Leather Amber Waves Goodbye Pices China Playboy Mommy Dreams (Fleetwood Mac) which is one of the 3 songs I requested The Long and Winding Road??? a beatles song I think, help me out on this one guys Cars and Guitars Northern Lad an intro that talked about Jordan Lake which was just down the road from where we were and going to bible school that led to Crucify A sorta fairytale The Beekeeper
Encore Gold Dust Tear in My Hand
Encore 2 Toast Baker Baker she went off stage but came back and the crowd went nuts cause we thought she was doing a 3rd encore but she came back to get her water bottle (sigh) She was wearing white capres and a yellow/green shirt with green ruffles around the shoulders. All in all it was a great show. Just way to HOT!!!! I met some cool people and had a great time. This was my 4th show and I really liked just Tori and a piano and various organs. Well I'm exhausted and need sleep. Bye

How heartbreaking about the waterbottle fake-out! And yes, that was a Beatles cover.

Hi all I've been kinda contemplating my Tori concert experience and what it meant to me. On the way home from the show I was in a rather reflective/melancholy mood. The whole time she was on stage I really felt, i don't know how to explain this, but kinda tapped in? maybe? or being tapped into I was there with my ex who I hadn't seen in almost a year but who i had remained friends with. Well it seemed to me Tori was playing a lot of breakup songs or at least songs I associate with break ups...goodbye pices, china, northern lad, tear in my hand, baker baker. Especially Baker Baker my all time break up/reflecting on a former lover song. Even Dreams "now there you go again you say you want your freedom well who am I to keep you down" even the Long and Winding Road, which is a song I don't know, seemed to be on the same vibe. Also there was a great deal of songs dwelling on the loss of loved ones, which I feel is a ,at least to me, theme that runs through the beekeeper. August is the month I lost my mother. So these songs really struck a cord with me. I found myself in tears much of the time. In a way it felt like I was being ok'd to allow some closure on certain things in my life. This was by far the best Tori show i've seen. It seemed the most personal. I know she wasn't but it seemed like she was singing to only me, I know a lot of people probably feel that way. Well I just thought I'd share that cause it's been on my mind ALL day. I'm not a "total" geek, just so you all know. Really.....I'm not...honest Nite all sleepy time for me chris
