lmao! Yeah, and you're messing up my perfect album order!!! Just kidding, please say all you want on any of the threads. I intend to ramble all over the place.... I just thought it would be good to organize all the rambling somehow so we can all keep track of each others' comments pertaining to each song. Enjoy!

I have to say that the first time I read the song titles, when I came to Toast I thought of the food... I'm so stupid, I know.

LMAO this has to be one of the best posts EVER!!! ;D But what I came here to say is... this song is definitely growing on me now. I was kinda underwhelmed at first, but I think I'm starting to "get it"... And I'm very glad

But what I came here to say is... this song is definitely growing on me now. I was kinda underwhelmed at first, but I think I'm starting to "get it"... And I'm very glad Agreed. Or I should rather say, will be growing on me. Maybe the song has gotten a lot less attention from me because it's the last of a huge number of songs, and I've always listened to the album while going to work and back, so I'm either vacuuming at the time when the song is playing or then reaching my home door. I dunno, I found it very boring. It'll probably change.

this one definitely took its time to grow on me. now i love it. in fact, now i love each and every song on the record, except for the title track. but give it one more day or two, and i'll be able to listen to the whole thing without skipping.

As soon as I heard the title "Toast" I thought of a toast at a wedding or a toast at a dinner party because of Tori's depth but I wouldn't make fun of anyone for thinking of toasted bread because Tori does love her food songs as DaturaFae has posted in the list. This song is so beautifully sad and a really nice dedication and inside joke song to her brother...very much a funeral song. My interpretation: I think this song is definitely a lot of things that no one will ever know but Tori and her brother or perhaps her family and close friends because a lot of this sounds like inside jokes and/or personal things that can't be described. It's a beautiful dedication to her brother.

Well, toast is one of her best songs, for me, together with garlands and original sinsuality. I like it very much
