I'm reading Anne Sexton: A Biography by Diane Middlebrook.
*adds it to my list of books I've re-read*
I heart Anne Sexton. She makes me feel a little less crazy.

Tomcat In Love - Tim O'Brien (a pick obviously inspired by Carly... hehe) Aims, you have no idea how thrilled I am that you're reading that! I think Tim O'Brien is one of our best American writers. I really hope you like the book--I think it's hilarious, in a subtle way.

I just finished Running With Scissors. I was so relieved. It was morbidly fascinating, but I do most of my reading before bed and considering the nightmares I've been having lately, it wasn't a great addition.

It was morbidly fascinating, but I do most of my reading before bed and considering the nightmares I've been having lately, it wasn't a great addition. i can't wait to see the movie... sorry about your nightmares though! i just started paint it black by janet fitch. it's okay so far. i'm hoping that it will enthrall me the way white oleander did but that is probably asking entirely too much. especially considering that at the time i was reading that i was also going through some highly emotional things and just listening to the then-newly-released scarlet's walk and all of it combined just altered me... still, to have time to read again is a heavenly thing...

A Scanner Darkly by Philip K. Dick.
One day I swear I will make that t-shirt that says "I <3 Dick". With all the possible puns intended.

Lisa See - Snow Flower and the Secret Fan It's about friendship and life of two Chinese woman in the 19th century, they send messages via fan, by woman's writing system called nu shu. Their feet were crushed and bind and their marriages were arranged. I've read only 45 pages for now but it seems to be great book. ^^ And of course it interests me because it's about China. Asian cultures are so interesting.
